While giving Gensokyo a visit. Hecatia visits, the local shrines, and the temples.
She visited the Moriya Shrine where she overheard a conversation.
“The lunarians did what to you Yuiman!?”
“They brainwashed me and separated me from Ariya. I was made to purify the information from the outside world.”
“They made me freeze Gensokyo in permeance to prevent the impurity from reaching the Lunar Capital.”
“When Reimu defeated me, I let them have a taste of the unfiltered outside information they force fed me.”
Hecatia thought “That explained those two weeks of Groundhog Day.”
As Hecatia left she bumped into Sanae, who was beaten up.
“Hello wired t-shirt lady” Sanae said.
“Hello useless green Reimu.” Hecatia quipped back.
“Did regular Reimu beat you up again?” Hecatia asked
“No. A clam youkai made of impure information did.” Sanae replied
“A clam youkai of impure information?”
“Where?” Hecatia demanded.
“In the Asama Purifying Mountain under Youkai Mountain” Sanae replied.
“With that, Truth “Flat Earther” spellcard.” Sanae whined.
“Interesting.” Hecatia said while doing a thinking pose.
Hecatia then left before anyone thought that she was the one who beat up Sanae.
She visited Clownpiece near the Hakurei Shrine. Reimu seemed nowhere to be found.
“You’re not causing too much trouble?” Hecatia asked.
“Outside of smashing Cirno’s igloo again, not really. But honourable friend is having a destruction party at the Bamboo Forest of the Lost.” Clownpiece playfully replied.
“She wouldn’t let me join though.” Clownpiece said in an annoyed voice, crossing her arms.
“Stay here.” Hecatia replied before zooming to the Bamboo Forest of the Lost.
Felled bamboo shoots, a small desert of splinters, blood and guts. A hellish carnage of plant and animal matter mulched into a pure even paste, like sand in a desert.
“ARE YOU WATCHING CHANG’E!!”
“I KILLED ONE OF YOUR MOON BUNNIES!!”
Raging voice of anger echoing in the distance.
Hecatia sighed “Junko” while rolling her eyes.
Hecatia then flew over the mini desert to find an oasis of blood and tears, in the middle of it, Junko, holding what was presumably an earth rabbit of some sorts.
“He won’t come back! She won’t come down!” Junko wept. She turns around to face Hecatia.
“Just like your Apollo! Just like Yuiman and Ariya! They even threatened to end life on earth with their false purity, their false a-mortality. Only my purity is true!”
Hecatia thought. “She shouldn’t be like this forever. Even hell should have its limits”
“Poor girl, she needs some happiness.“
Hecatia’s frustratingly thought. “This is last straw! Killing my Son, killing Junko’s son, that Groundhog Day incident, using earthlings against us, and holding earth hostage! Those Moonies need to go! To Mars, to Venus, or into fucking Uranus! I don’t care.”
Hecatia opened out her arms and said
“Let’s leave before we cause an incident.”
Junko stood up and recomposed herself, calm and collected, as if her rage episode had never happened. “We’ll cause an incident.”
“Just not in Gensokyo”. Junko calmly said with an evil smirk.
While flying away from the carnage, Hecatia asked “How do you know about Yuiman?”
Junko said “I’ve been…”
“Gathering information on our, upcoming genocide against Chang’e and the Lunarians.”
“We need to fill the dream world with impurity, before we attack.” Junko stated.
Hecatia replied “What about Toyohime and the ground probes?”
“Their only invisible to youkai who haven’t been purified.”
“I’ll make them visible to all.” Junko replied
Hecatia and Junko land near the Hakurei Shrine. There was an empty geyser nearby that led to old hell.
“Why don’t we give your old place a visit Hecatia?” Junko asks while pointing to the geyser near the Hakurei shrine.
“Old Hell?” Hecatia questioned
“It’s not that interesting, just some cobwebs, a Oni, a mind-reader, her pet cat and her pet bird.”
“I want to visit the bird.” Junko said.
“I want to be her friend.” Junko replied.
“Got It, I’ll give Satori a heads up.” Hecatia replied.
They went down the geyser to Old Hell, where they made it to the front of Chireiden.
Junko pokes Hecatia saying “Satori doesn’t need to know. She doesn’t go down there anyway.”
“What about Orin?” Hecatia questioned
“Busy with Chen. They both like stealing from Seiga Kaku.” Junko answered.
“The Kappa use her reactor as a power source. They will notice.” Hecatia countered.
“They have batteries, and we won’t need her for long.” Junko stated.
“Fine! But return her after you play with her. Got it?” Hecatia frustratingly accepts.
They go down to the Hell of Blazing Fires, where they enter an octagonal room, metal mesh floor over a pool of orange molten rock. Square geometric patterns cover the walls that go straight up to the sky.
Suddenly a bright soaring light slammed near Hecatia and Junko, causing Hecatia to step back a bit. Junko just stood still.
A black winged woman with a cape, her left leg encased in stone, a pair of electrons orbiting her right, her right arm had an elongated orange octagonal rod. In the centre of her chest was a glowing red circular jewel, the Atralarasu.
“CONTANIMATS DETECTED IN REACTOR!!”
“CONTANIMATS MUST BE…” *SMACK*
The black winged lady fell on her ass. Junko then stood over her an exclaimed,
“Utsuho Reiuji! I have an offer to spread Nuclear Fusion to the moon!”
“Kanako and the Kappa like your power, but I can offer you more.”
Junko then kneeled down to the bewildered Utsuho, who often referred to as Okuu by many of Gensokyo’s residents.
With a gentle hand, she touched the red gem on Okuu’s chest.
“Yatagarasu, three-legged crow, you must be haunted by the death of all 9 of your brothers. Like me and my son, Like Hecatia and hers.” A tear running down Junko’s face.
The red gem glows brighter then usual.
“I offer you the Lunar Capital and the resurrection of all your brothers!”
Junko then stood up.
“Utsuho! The Yatagarasu wants you to join me in our quest for vengeance!”
Okuu confused replied “The Yatagarasu wants me to spread.. nuclear fusion in the Lunar Capital??”
“Ahhh… Yes!” Junko replied “The Lunar Capital wants you to spread nuclear fusion by resurrecting the other 9 balls of Nuclear Fusion”
“Oh. O.K” Okuu replied while jumping back on her feet with a loud metallic clang that echoed through the room.
“Went do we start?” Okuu asked.
“Soon. I just need to get some more friends to help us.” Junko replied.
“So that’s her plan??” Hecatia thought.
Junko then touched the Yatagarasu, purifying it so that it can allow Okuu to use all aspects of Nuclear Physics. It can now manipulate Nuclear Fusion, Nuclear Fission, the Strong and Weak Nuclear Forces. The red gem started to glow a bright blue.
“Hey! You blued my red orb! You already have a blue orb lady right there!” Okuu complained.
“You should thank me Utsuho. I have made you as powerful as you’ll ever be.” Junko replied.
“I hear the sunflower field is beautiful this time of year.”
“Don’t you think, my lovely Hecatia?” Junko said.
“Yes. Maybe who can give those lilies of murderous intent some friends?” Hecatia jokingly replied.
“Is Okuu coming along?” Hecatia asked.
“Yes.” Junko replied
Hecatia, Junko and Okuu then left old hell and headed to the Garden of the Sun.
The sun shone on the sunflowers coating the field known as the Garden of the Sun, the place was swarming with fairies. Junko was sniffing and caressing the sunflowers.
“Strange?” Hecatia thought
“Junko is not the type to be into flowers.” Hecatia pondered.
Junko then saw someone and jumped for joy.
“Yuuka Kazami!!” Junko squeaked
Yuuka was minding her business with Elly when she noticed Junko. She turned to face Junko and said.
“Who are you? And who is you’re funny shirt lady?” Yuuka asked
Hecatia crossed her arms and with one of her hands showing a small open distance between a finger and thumb and commented “You’re this close to getting multiple hells of a time.”
Yuuka closed her umbrella and with a sinister grin “Oh, a challenge from silly shirt orb lady.”
Yuuka then yelled “Bring it!” before attacking Hecatia with her spell card,
Hijacking Hell’s Nature, “Flower Spark”, a spellcard similar to Marisa’s master spark but it shoots out a triangular cloud of flowers found in the hell and the outerwords. Red, blue and purple in colour. 4 lasers shot out from the sides of Yuuka and moved near the center, limiting Hecatia’s movement, squeezing her between the lasers and flowers.
Hecatia responded with a spellcard of her own,
Otherworld "Hell's Non-Ideal Danmaku" – which flooded the screen with waves of glowing red bullets with gaps between them every 3 bullets. Yuuka struggled to dodge them and got cornered taking a hit.
Yuuka then responded with another spellcard,
Patchouli “Flowers of the Scarlet Devil”
Yuuka then doubled into 2 Yuukas, and 8 magic circles appeared shooting lasers and purple arrows that shot patchouli flowers from the sides of the arrows.
Hecatia struggled to dodge both the lasers and flowers, getting hit when two of the lasers trapped her and over lapped each other, catching her in the process.
“Ah. You doing double trouble, you over glorified fairy?” Hecatia quipped
“It takes three to tango!” Hecatia stated before using the spellcard
“Pagan Trinity” , a spell card where all three of Hecatia’s bodies join the fight.
Moon Hecatia summoned a moon that moved towards Yuuka in a straight line before hitting the edge of the battle area,
Earth Hecatia shot lasers that bounced off the edge of the battle area
And Outerworld Hecatia shot red fireballs above her before falling to the ground.
Yuuka was able to doge most of these but as was about to get donked by a moon, a scythe from Elly sliced it in two.
Yuuka and Elly then do a joint spellcard ,
“A Harvest of Flower Viewing Souls”
Yuuka shot a simple pattern of sunflower danmaku while Elly uprooted rocks found in the Garden of the Sun and flung them at the Hecatia’s. Phantoms appeared and Elly threw her scythe at them, the phantoms exploding into a star pattern when reaped.
“Junko!” Hecatia exclaimed
“They’re paired up. Lets show them the true power of two!”
Junko joined in the danmaku fight with Hecatia and then they both used the spellcard
“The First and Last Nameless Danmaku”
Junko shot simple and tightly packed rings of pellets while Hecatia spawned a spiral of kunai that slowly got denser. Elley was first to get knocked out when she got cornered and hit. Yuuka was able to get close to capturing the card but got hit by Junko’s ring while trying to dodge Hecatia’s kunai.
Hecatia then stood over Yuuka with a vengeful face, her eyes glowing red. Holding the swinging the moon and earth chains, a pair of weed-wackers of pain. The swirl sounding like a booming helicopter of doom. “You will stop, making comments, about my awesome, choice of clothes!”
Junko then stood Infront of Hecatia.
“Stop Hecatia. We need them for my revenge plan!” Junko pleaded.
Hecatia then stood still, huffed and stopped swinging her orbs.
“Fine!” Hecatia frustratingly replied.
Junko then turned to Yuuka. “Want to fight some overpowered moonies?”
“And spread flowers to the moon” Junko said.
Junko then kneeled down to where Yuuka was and touched her face. “You could have the moon as a garden world, a paradise of flowers. You can be a goddess of plant life.”
Junko then purified Yuuka, making her able to summon plant life anywhere, even in places where plant life couldn’t exist.
Junko then went to Elly and started stroking her scythe.
“A scythe, a weapon of a Shinigami. They say the Hourai Elixir separates on from the concept of life and death.”
“Let’s put that to the test.” Junko says before touching Elly and purifying her, allowing her to reap any soul, even those supposedly absent from the concept of death itself.
“You can also have dominion on the moon. For life needs death and death needs life. You two will from the purest form of impurity. The ultimate nightmare of the Lunarians.”
“Will you join us? It will be fun.” Junko asked
Yuuka got back up and with a smile on her face “You made me even stronger?”
“It’s to battle the Lunarians, who will be a challenge, even for you.” Junko replied
“I get to battle those overpowered mooners?” Yuuka asked
“Yes.” Junko replied
Yuuka opened her umbrella and happily said
“Yeah. I’ve haven’t wrecked another world since I ravaged Makai in ’98.”
“This is going to be fun, a moon trip with another fan of genocide.”
Elly got back up on her feet replied, “I haven’t been to the moon. I bit of exploration and discovery will be a nice change in scenery.”
A pair of ladies who were watching the battle then made themselves known. One was in a blue maid outfit another in red and white dress with a pair of large white feathered wings approached.
“You’re going to the moon.”
“Can we join. I’m Gengetsu and this is my little sister Mugetsu”
“Those Lunarians had that wretched dream eater destroy our perfect little dream world.”
“Doremy Sweet my ass. More like Doremy Sour.” Gengetsu commented.
Junko was smiling ear to ear.
“I can solve your Doremy problem. How about I give you the ability to become the goddesses of Dreams?”
Junko then grab both Mugetsu and Gengestu and purified them, allowing them to make dreams, eat dreams and control the dream world.
“You’ll give Doremy and the Lunarian an endless Nightmare if they try to escape. Won’t you Gestus?” Junko said.
Hecatia who was standing around while Junko was making friends thought.
“I haven’t seen her this happy in ages. Usually, she she’ll have some anger and sorrow and calm moping. This is kind of weird. Acting enthusiastically about things she usually wouldn’t. The flowers I could sort a understand giving one of her spellcards is Murderous Lillies.”
“And Okuu is a nuke bird. But she’s usually….”
“What happens if she achieves the impossible."
“Will she disappear, fade into nothing.” Hecatia started to feel fear in her heart.
“Will she become pure sadness. That would be worse.”
“If she fails it will be devastated, the higher you climb, the deeper you fall. Since she’s met me, could that mean that there is a realm lower than hell?
“I hope Eirin doesn’t find out. Or the shine maiden, or the ordinary magician, or that rabbit.”
Hecatia then asked “Where is the next destination on our vacation?”
Junko then said “I’ve heard that they found a pyramid under Youkai Mountain. And that it is a source of impurity, and that it connects to the moon. You’ll need to bring Clownpiece with you, she has a clam to drive insane.”
Hecatia “Understood Junko, I’ll get Clownpiece while you and your new friends go to the Pyramid Under Youkai Mountain.”
