Pigsy couldn’t breathe.
All of his senses zeroed in on MK, screaming in despair and terror. His skin was torn in places, and he struggled to breathe past his fear. Helpless, afraid, calling for his parents. Pigsy didn’t care who or why they where hurting him anymore. That was his son, crying out in pain. Crying out for him.
And that was all that mattered
Something pushed underneath Pigsy’s skin. Power that felt akin to electricity ran down his arms and buzzed in his ears. It expanded, engulphing him, pulsing to the beat of his heart. All Pigsy could feel was rage and anger. And it lit the fuse within him, suddenly exploding.
He didn’t know what happened. One moment, Pigsy was on two legs facing his screaming son. The next, he had bulldozed through the restraints on all fours and tucked his son into his chest. He was a gaint now. A glowing pink giant boar with an armour like hide, large sharp tusks, and nimble hooves.
He galloped away, wrecking into the the culprits and their walls with tusks that felt too big for his mouth. He let out a bloodthristy scream, nothing like anything he had ever heard himself make before. This was a war cry. Tail raised high, Pigsy threw his head into anyone who tried to stop him. Stomped them beneath his feet, ripped them apart with the ivory jutting from his jaws.
The smell of blood threw him into a frenzy. Excited him. He was going to stomp these fucker’s lights out for hurting his boy. There was no room in this world for people who intended to hurt MK, and him.
He barely felt their weapons against his skin. Hardly cared what they where. They where sent flying, and thats all that mattered. Pigsy saw Tang, and lifted his head to show MK safely tucked away from the violence under his chin. Pigsy was very happy his son was a monkey. No one could compare to his piglet. No one would hurt his piglet.
Tang held his hands out, and Pigsy didn’t like it. He put his chin down, safely hiding MK from sight, and then stomped his foot. Tang nodded in understanding, and held out his hand to Pigsy’s muzzle. Pigsy nuzzled Tang, gently, he had to be gentle. Why was that again? He couldn’t remember. When he saw Tang tense at an on coming threat, Pigsy picked him up and threw him over his shoulder. He lowered his stance, positioned his head, and rushed towards them. The force of his weight flung forward, and there was no more threat.
Then, something bright and white blinded him. Before he could react, Tang pulled up a force field around them. Pigsy grunted in approval, and continued forward. They needed to get out of here. They needed MK to be safe. Tang whispered it in his ear, and he agreed.
Anytime there was a threat Pigsy couldn’t just bulldoze over, Tang used his staff to get them to back off. He liked it when Tang had figured out how to pick up people by their heads with his magic, and chuck them. He hopped from one foot to the other feeling giddy. Tang laughed and pressed his face into the back of Pigsy’s head.
All too soon, the fight ended. Pigsy was exhausted, and couldn’t help laying down. The others around him started screaming at him, but he was so tired. The threat wasn’t here with them, they where safe weren’t they? Tang used his staff to teleport them somewhere. He nuzzled Tang again, and wish he could tuck him and MK into a nest. A comfy nest, where they could hide and be safe. He wouldn’t mind their friends joining in, they looked like they needed it. Pigsy was grateful he had his sounder.
He started to feel pain. When he glanced back, he saw some pieces of whatever was thrown at him. Monkey King, watching Pigsy’s reaction closely, started pulling them out. Sandy stepped close to his chin, where MK was. Pigsy knew he shouldn’t of, that MK needed help he couldn’t give at the moment, but his instincts won over. He squealed at Sandy angrily, and snapped his jaws at him.
Tang pressed his face against the other side of Pigsy’s muzzle, catching his attention while MK limped out of his hold. He nuzzled MK, and the kid gave a weak smile. For a moment, MK leaned into the side of Pigsy’s snout. Then, he lifted himself off so the others could help him.
Pigsy was not going to let him go so easily though. While Sandy helped Tang clean and bandage MK, Pigsy was there. He stayed as close to MK as the others would let him. Whenever MK flinched, Pigsy grunted and stomped his hoof in warning.
Monkey King leapt down, throwing aside pieces of various weapons that had managed to get stuck in his hide. There was a very worried look on his face. Pigsy had started to sway, and it was getting worse by the minute. The adrenaline was wearing off, and Pigsy was beginning to really feel his wounds and exhaustion.
But more than anything, was the painful hunger that carved him hollow from the inside. He needed to eat, and he needed to eat now. There wasn’t much food that he could see, but he could smell it. Pigsy trotted towards the truck and shoved himself in. He opened cuboards with his snout and dragged out anything he found edible. When there was nothing left, he was still hungry.
The hunger became worse and worse. Searing through him, withering his resolve and emptying him out. He started to squeal in pain, which wasn’t very nice to litterally everyone’s ears. Tang shuffled up to Pigsy, holding one one hand out, while the other was calsped tightly against his ear. Monkey King turned, and his eyes lit up with horror. He screamed something, but nobody could hear it.
Pigsy’s jaws snapped forward before he could register what was happening. Something filled his mouth, and he froze. Tang wasn’t where he had been before. His instincts begged to swollow what was in his mouth, but he fought against it. He stepped back with horror at the realization of what he had just done.
His jaw was like a steel trap, and it refused to open even for it’s owner. Pigsy flicked his head, trying to get it to cooperate. Hunger became his new opponent, and the exhaustion wasn’t making it any easier to fight. He breathed heavily with effort, trying not to swollow.
“P-Pigsy?” It was Tang, uneaten, standing at a distance. It wasn’t a safe distance, even if it looked far away. Images flashed in Pigsy’s mind, of charging forward and— NO. No no no no. He shook his head. He was not going to think about it! That was his mate! Hell no!
Whatever was in his mouth started to move, and Pigsy didn’t have the energy to think about it. It wasn’t Tang— He briefly looked over at MK and Sandy — It wasn’t them either.
He swallowed.
It didn’t go down, instead something pulled at his tusk. Pigsy couldn’t see it, but there was a bright orange tail sticking out, anchoring itself there. The thing in his mouth moved, and pushed it’s way forward. He tried to bite down on whatever it was, and pain shot through his teeth. It felt like stone. No way could he eat this. Pigsy finally spit the object out.
A slobbery, gross ball of fur landed at his feet. Monkey King glared up at him, looking absolutely rediculious with his pelt sticking to his skin. Pigsy coughed in shock. Monkey King stood up, and stared at him in challenge. He felt like his own stomach was consuming him, and he grunted in warning. In the back of his mind still standing despite it all, Pigsy felt greatful that Monkey King was there.
Pigsy hadn’t noticed that Mei had left, until his snout caught the heavenly smell of food. She and Redson arrived on a small ship. The deck was covered in a mountain od food. Noodles, dumplings, buns, it looked like an oasis. Pigsy didn’t hesitate to charge after it, squealing excitedly. Monkey King had them land a safe distance away. He took his cloud over and grabbed the two fire users out of the way before Pigsy came crashing down on it.
Pigsy couldn’t remember what happened next, just that the gnawing pain in his stomach finally subsided.
He awoke to a full belly, and flopped over happily. Everything felt, bigger somehow. The ship wasn’t bending under his eight anymore. He was just normal Pigsy again. In his dizzy haze, he looked around for his sounder. A shadow fell over him, and he turned his head to see Tang watching him fondly. “I’m sorry I tried to eat ya… again.” Pigsy mumbled.
Tang leaned down and patted his cheek. “Cook me noodles for the rest of my life, and I’ll forgive you.” He said jokingly.
Pigsy chuckled. “Freeloader. Maybe a should of eaten ya, it would save me money.”
Tang laughed. “Okay, okay. There might be another way you could repay me then.” He picked up a spare piece of noodle from Pigsy’s shirt and promptly ate it.
Pigsy couldn’t help but roll his eyes. “Yes, you can have the food I didn’t eat.”
“Aw, Pigsy, you are so kind!” Tang plucked a noodle off of his chin, and giggled when Pigsy glared at him.
“Not whats on me, Tang.” He grumbled, and sat up. A few clumps of food stuck to his pants and shirt. He felt exhausted just looking at it, and little embarrassed. There was a huge mess around him. He had always made sure to be cleanly and well kept. This was anything but. Scattered particles of food was everywhere. Plates and containers where shredded. He had been so hungry, he hadn’t even cared about being tidy.
Tang saw his expression and used Pigsy’s chin to turn his attention away. His big brown eyes stared up at Pigsy with affection. “Don’t worry about it, Pigsy. I’m just glad you’re back to normal. I missed you.” Tang nuzzled Pigsy into his cheek.
“Aww. My Tangy.” Pigsy cupped his face and kissed him. He leaned back to see Tang blushing a deep red. Pigsy adored his expression, but he had other priorities at the moment. “Is everyone okay?”
Tang nodded with a lop-sided smile, he licked some broth Pigsy had left on his lip. “They’re all at the T.E.A.”
“I’m gonna go check on them then.” Tang opened his mouth to complain, and Pigsy kissed him again. Successfully shutting him up. “Later Tangy. I’m gonna go check on MK.”
Pigsy tried to wipe himself off as best as he could. He was covered in far more food than he thought. It covered his face and chest. There was a shower and extra clothes in the T.E.A he could use, but he wanted to check on MK first. As he walked back to where he thought the truck was, he couldn’t help but notice everything he didn’t as a giant boar. His mind had been awfully cloudy and incoherent from what he remembered.
They where in a forested area, the ground was covered in grasses and flowers. He stumbled upon the tracks he had left in the soft soil. Large hoofprints, almost as big as he was tall. He couldn’t believe that he had made them. That he had actually been that large. He followed the hoofprints, and noted how deep they where.
He found the T.E.A resting in the same place they had left it. Sandy took one look at him and promptly forced him into the bathroom. He left some new clothes nearby for after Pigsy was done showering. Pigsy got food in places he’d rather not mention. It was everywhere. Noodles, pieces of dumpling, stray veggies and meat. Pigsy had never felt so dirty in his life. No wonder he was immediately forced to shower. It was a relief to get it off. He felt so much better afterwards. No more mess on himself or his clothes. Nice and clean, just the way he liked it.
MK was sound asleep, covered in bandages. His monkey plush had fallen on the floor, and Pigsy lifted it up to gently tuck it back under MK’s arm. He gently ruffled MK’s hair, and was about to leave when a hand on his arm stopped him.
“Dadsy?” MK was half asleep, he couldn’t even open his eyes all the way. Poor thing was exhausted.
“Yeah son?” Pigsy’s eyes fell on the bandages once more. He felt ashamed he didn’t stop it sooner. Echos of MK screaming made his chest tight.
“C-can you stay here? …With me?” MK’s voice wavered, breaking Pigsy’s heart.
“Yeah… O’ course I can.” MK sighed in relief. He pushed himself up and pulled Pigsy over to sit down on the cot. He winced in doing so.
“Careful, son. Don’t hurt yourself.” MK, like always, didn’t listen. He struggled upwards, hissing at the pain, and moved to lay into Pigsy’s side. He eased MK into a better positon on his chest, and cautiously wrapped his arms around him. Pigsy carded through MK’s hair as they both relaxed into the silence. He could feel the pitter patter of MK’s heartbeat, his shoulders less tense. He was alive, and Pigsy was going to make sure he stayed that way. There was no room in this world for people who wanted to hurt MK.
He was going to ask for more training from Monkey King. Pigsy had a lot of questions around his new pig form, and he wanted to see what else he could do. He… also needed to apologize to Monkey King about the whole… trying to eat him thing. Would it be rude to ask for training after that? He just wanted to help MK more, have his back. Pigsy vowed to never let MK experience that kind of pain ever again.
Before he could think of anything else, exhaustion overtook him. He fell into a peaceful sleep knowing his piglet was safe.
When Tang walked into the T.E.A, his eyes softening at the scene before him. Pigsy was fast asleep, holding MK to his chest. MK was still half awake, and lifted his head to see who had came in.
MK blinked at him sleepily, and lifted his hand up. Tang grasped it. “Tad… Can you stay here too?” Tang frowned, noticing that there wasn’t enough space on the cot.
“I wont be far, okay? I’ll be in the same truck as you.”
“Can you stay on the cot above us maybe?”
“Mei would never let me take her spot. Especially because she’ll want to watch over you. I can stay right here until you fall sleep. Does that sound good?” MK nodded. Tang kissed his head, and waited.
Later, Sandy and Mei found Tang sitting up, sleeping on the floor. His head used the side of the cot as a pillow, and his hand was still in MK’s grasp. Pigsy had a hand on Tang’s head, the trio still slumbering away.
