As fans, we shared the heartbreak of the series’ abrupt end due to production struggles, leaving behind loose ends that even the actors mentioned. I wanted to create an alternative that gives a happy beginning. I show both their point of views, to finally give Ziang’s experience the weight and fairness it deserves, while freeing Shuhe from false illusions and helping him realize that he is indeed a man of value in this world.
Ziang doesn't just want Shuhe’s submission; he wants to dismantle the walls Shuhe has built around his heart. The journey from "I will suck the poison out of you," the Conqueror promises. "I will not beg anymore. You are mine. Even knowing what I know… I still want to ruin you." TO "I will play the emperor for the world. But for you, Shuhe...
