Totally crying over spilled Caf!
Fox, was lying on the floor, unmoving. Face flat on the ground while looking rather… dead?
The rest of his squad found him there like that, the puddle around Fox alarming the lot of them. Was it… blood?
No, it was worse than any of them could have imagined!
“Of. My. Force!”
“Fox! Foxy? Can you hear us?”
“Fox, are you, still with us?”
The lot of them were crouching around their fallen Commander.
“Is he…?”
They were checking Fox’s pulse first of all.
“Yeah… still with us.”
“Oh, Thank the Force!”
“Fox. Can you hear us?”
One of them touched the puddle on the floor. Checking the sustenance so black…
“So much… he must’ve…”
But then something made Thire sniff the stuff itself and…
“This is…”
“Wots wrong there, Thire?” Thorn asked still worried.
Thire however was already pushing Fox to his side.
The Commander was disheveled, distraught. Having clearly been crying. A lot too!
“What the fuck, Fox?” Thire demanded out of the blue.
“What’s going on, Thire?”
“Here, smell this.”
Shoving his fingers in Thorn’s face.
Smelling it. The look on Thorn going from worry to amused?
Thorn strand laughing, really loudly and guess it was a nervous relived laugh too?
“It’s caf!!!”
“Kriffing hells!”
“You really put us through something here, Fox!”
“Yeah, our mighty Commander! Spilled caf and cried over it!”
“Okay, so the usual then?” Stone noted.
Fox however close to a catatonic state, even if it was amusing to the rest of them.
“Sorry Foxika… But this is not something to cry over.”
“Well, ya know how Fox is, with his caf and all.”
Still no response from Fox. He was beside himself, totally gone by now.
“So, any ideas?”
“I will put the kettle on.” Hound offered then, thinking on his feet.
Hearing those words, Fox visibly perked up. Kettle. On. Caf?
“See, works like a charm and ever single time!”
Fox was helped off of the floor. Supported by his teammates. Them all leading the Commander to the kitchen for a fresh pot of caf.
“A life savour I’m sure.” Thorn simply noted.
Fox, was feeling it already, life coming back to him. As was the Caf. A true life saviour.
