"What's Baby's Apgar?"

Summary:

Frankenstein's Creature was awfully blue when he was "born", what did our doctor do to address this?

Work Text:

Victor woke up in a cold sweat when he realized that there was a creeping presence in his bedroom. Victor sat up in shock- his creation is alive and active after he thought his plan didn't work. Trying to catch his breath, Victor took in the man standing before him... he didn't look right; his face was pale, skin tinged blue and was moving in ways that didn't make sense- uncoordinated with low level motor planning.

Victor quickly reviewed APGAR in his head, the unused textbook knowledge coming back immediately. Victor quickly grabbed for his creation's pulse, and found it to be quick , must faster than the average human heart. The man standing before him make no sounds either, and seemed to be struggling to deliver oxygen to his large, lumbering body. Victor quickly scored him a 6, which wasn't the best but not horrible.
Quick to touch his cold, healing skin, Victor grabbed a blanket and began to wrap the man in it. The creature, immediately began to take interest in Victor and snuggled deep into the blanket and began to warm his skin to light pink.

"That should be a 7 or 8 once he gets warmed up " Victor thought to himself, and shut his eyes while he held him close.

Notes:

Silly Victor, you just needed to dress him properly, and he wouldn't have been blue for half of the movie!

A/N: I am a medical nerd and head canon as with regular human heart transplants that The Creature's intrinsic heart rate is at least 100... so he gets a 2 in pulse like a healthy baby lol
