Summary:

She’s a fragile weapon. He’s gentler than he seems.
Simon expected joining Valvatorez’s Hades Party to be a challenging task, but meeting the sweet-but-deadly Alice, Valvatorez’s greatest weapon, would pose an even bigger challenge than any fight.

Chapter 1: I am a Wind Witch!!!

Chapter Text

She didn’t know how long she had been inside the room. She didn’t know why she was in the room to begin with. She was certain she hadn’t done anything wrong, and usually, locking people up is a form of punishment. Alice has always been a good girl.

After a few hours of walking around the pitch-dark empty room, she felt the air getting thicker. She couldn’t see it, but she could feel the room getting smaller, the walls were gradually coming closer together. She realized this would be the end of Alice the Wind Witch. She would soon be crushed by the walls of this very mysterious dark room. She let out a little squeak, then tried to use Peta Wind against the walls. But just like the seventy-four times she tried to attack the room before, the walls were impenetrable. Instead of breaking the wall like she hoped to, she ricocheted against the other wall with the strength and speed of a Level 6 attack. She bounced on the wall, and while she was still suspended in the air, she felt it happen: The walls had met.

Alice found herself in such agonizing, consuming pain that it was almost comforting. Then came a headache as if her brains were reorganizing themselves inside her skull. She was becoming one with all the knowledge of the universe, she felt like she was everything, she was God, she was all-powerful, and then she was falling. It was a very speedy fall. And then, Bang!, she was back in the Cam–Pain headquarters.

“I would like to talk to the Bloodthirsty King of Fear Tyrant Valvatorez”

She thought it had come out as a demand but in actuality it was barely more than a whisper. She had severely overestimated her size. At just 4’9”, she wasn’t very intimidating, her pin-straight waist length hair made her look even shorter, like a harmless little girl dressed up as a princess. She wielded her staff, hoping if someone was out there, they would feel threatened enough to respond, but the Cam-Pain was empty, and she was alone.

I wish Simon were here.

She tried to collect her thoughts before coming up with a plan. The whole day before the room was completely erased from her memory. Friday is Cam-Pain debrief day, and she was certain the day before the room was a Thursday, so it made sense to her that’s where she fell. She didn’t see any signs of conflict in her body, despite being crushed by metaphysical walls. But her hair was red. Alice the Wind Witch had red hair. And she knew damn well Wind Witches don’t wear red. She walked towards the well to see her reflection. Her eyes, her hair, they were the color of a true Fire Witch.

Alice had heard of reincarnation before. She also assumed somewhere in the contract was a need for the reincarnated’s consent. She didn’t know the specifics, as witches were not allowed to know too much about reincarnation due to fear of abuse of power, but she knew the basics. A demon can become any species they wish.

She, however, was very happy as Alice the Wind Witch. There were songs about her, an official fanclub in Hades, she was not just any Wind Witch, she was Alice, Tyrant Valvatorez’ failproof weapon. So either Tyrant Valvatorez is playing a sick joke on her, or someone has violated the laws of Demonhood. She walked towards the nearest Hades portal. Valvatorez must know about this.
