    Eddie glances over his shoulder. “What?”

    Chim squints at him. “Did you lose a fight?”

    Eddie looks down at his arms, where his uniform shirt is still draped over the bench. The marks are visible—clearly teeth-shaped if you know what you’re looking for.

    “Oh,” Eddie says. “That.”

    Hen leans in. “That?”

    Chim’s eyes light up with dawning horror-delight. “Are those bite marks?”
