Vaggie continued trying to stop the weapon. As she continued stabbing at the panels, still none of them were budging. "Fuck," she yelled just as another power surge sparked, "augh." Taking a step away from the wall, she felt as the lightning shocked her cheek and leg.
"Charlie's girlfriend," Lucifer said, his voice hinted with worry as he was breathing through his pain. "Are you ok?"
"Y...Yeah," Vaggie said as she looked down at her bloody hand.
She watched as the sparks stopped for a few seconds, so she went back in, staring at the panel on the wall. Before stabbing at it again, but this time her spear got caught, she finally loosened the metal enough for her spear to get under. "Yes," she said.
"Yeah, you go, Viggi...um, Vig..."
"It's a veggie," she said as she moved her spear down, popping the panel and finally exposing the wires, golden wires.
Quickly she cut the wires, causing the power to stop traveling in that direction. As she did, Lucifer felt some of the plugs in his chest loosen. He could finally breathe a sigh of relief, but before he could, he felt another tickle.
"Oh no," he said as he looked up.
"Lu," Vaggie said as she took a step closer to the oval glass he was trapped in, but as she did, another power surge sparked, burning her hand. "Augh," she cried as she got more burns, cutting her skin deeply.
"Vaggie, go, it's not safe. For you here, I'll be ok," Lu said, seeing the blood come from her burns, dripping down her face, arm, and leg.
"It's fine," she said as she looked around as the yellow sticks moved around them. That's when she noticed that there were more groups of sparks in certain parts of the wall. "That's it," she said as she picked up her spear and moved further into the sparks along the wall.
"Vaggie?" Lu questioned as he watched her.
"I know what to do now," she said as she started beating the panel on the wall relentlessly until it budged, exposing more yellow wires. "Yes," she said as she cut the wires, watching as the last of the power strikes moved up the wall before disappearing.
At the same time, more of the wired-in Lucifer's chest and arms loosened, causing him to let out a sigh as most of the tickling went away, but it wasn't done yet.
Moving to the other wall, which was giving off the most sticks, she again stabbed at the panel on the wall until it loosened again and she was able to cut the wire. With the last of the golden wires cut, her arm went numb as her nerves fired off, thanks to the burns, and her leg cramped in response. She didn't let herself fall, though, as she turned to Lu, seeing that he wasn't in as much pain either.
"You ok?" She asked. "Yeah...yeah," Lu said as he lifted his head a little.
Looking at him, she noticed that he was still chained up by the white holes, but she didn't have the strength to do anything, and the glass was solid, and she couldn't break it. 'There has to be another way to get him out,' she thought as she once again was looking around when she saw there was a small vent in the bottom of his trap that led to the other side.
"Lu," she said, getting his attention. "Do you think you could shapeshift into a bug and go through the vent?"
"Vaggie, I tried that already..."
"I know, but I've cut so many wires already; maybe one of those removed the thing that is keeping you from that."
"I mean...alright, I can try," he said tiredly as he closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath before he changed into a snake and slid his way to the vent before sliding into her hand.
"Yes," she said as he turned into a human in front of her. "Come on, let's go," she said, moving so much that she was reminded of the yellow sparks that nipped at her skin, burning her already burned skin.
"Vaggie," Lucifer said as he pulled her from the sparks. "You saved me."
"Not yet, we need to get out of here. Can you stand?"
"Yeah?" He said as he got to his feet but stumbled.
"I'll take that as a no, then. Come on, let's go," she said as she had him lean on her as they made it to the open panel, helping him out before crawling out on her own. As she did, Carmina, who was on the other side, helped them out. "Carmila?"
"Watch out," she said as she pulled Veggie out just as a spark came close to her.
"Ohh, so you're Carmila?" Lucifer said as he looked at them.
"Why is the device still sparking? Where's Charlie?" She questioned as she looked around.
"Charlie is helping to save the sinners; as for it sparking, it's because of the power that it's holding for the blast. We need to shut it down."
"Ok," just as she said that, there was the sound of a blast going off. Looking up, she saw that Vox stood on top of the cannon, which now lay on the floor pointing at Alastor, Charlie, and Emily. "Charlie," she said as she went to take a step closer to them but was stopped by Carmila.
"Vox, stop! Firing anymore will overload the weapon." Carmila yelled.
Vaggie's eyes didn't move from Charlie, as she was using her shield to protect Emily, who was bleeding as one of her wings was left to bone. She felt she needed to do something, but she couldn't, not in her condition, let alone with Lucifer. Looking around, she saw a piece of concrete that was a perfect place for her to put Lucifer. Crouching down, she grabbed Lucifer's arm and put it around her shoulder before standing straight, getting Lu to his feet.
"Come on, Lu, I have to get you to safety so I can help Charlie." She said as they walked over to the concrete block, laying Lucifer down, she looked at his blood-covered suit.
"Will you be ok?"
"Yeah, the bleeding has stopped. Go... go help Charlie."
"Ok."With that, she ran over to where Charlie and Emily were. "We need to get people to safety; we have to..." "There's no use; we won't clear in time." Carmila said.

"The power of friendship is stronger than ever," Charlie yelled as she hugged Emily. Just then a grunt came from in front of them. Looking over, Charlie saw her dad. She was generally surprised, not expecting Vox to actually have her dad.
"Dad?" She says as her mind was filled with so many questions.
His suit was covered in golden blood, and he had burnt marks and dust all over his suit with a few pieces burned off. She froze, not sure how to feel. She was mad, thinking of any and every possible thing that Vox could have done to her dad. She was also grateful and happy to see him, glad he was fine and still standing. She was also guilty and upset with herself for what happened yesterday at the hotel, how he was just trying to help, and how she let her anger go over her head. But then she watched as he fell to the floor, clearly in pain. That's when she finally felt the world around her move again as she took a step forward, then another, and another until she was at his side.
"Dad?" She whispered as, with Vaggie's help, they got Lucifer up.
"I'm... I'm ok, don't worry."
"Dad, what did they do to you?"
"It's nothing really; it wasn't that bad, and Vaggie here helped me out."
"Wait, what?"
"I tried to tell you, but my communicator was broken, so I couldn't get in contact with you guys."
"Oh..."
"Hey... hey, it's ok, cupcake, I'm ok, I'm ok, see?"
"Dad, I'm so..."
"It's ok, I know you are."Charlie wanted to cry, but just then, the voice of Sir Pentious.
As Charlie turned to look at the screen, Vaggie helped Lu to his feet. Once he was standing, Vaggie wanted to help him, but he said he was fine and stood on his own, even though clearly he was seconds from passing out again. He stared at Charlie, glad that she was happy, as she smiled at her friend on the screen. "That's my girl." With that, he told Vaggie that he would head home; with that, he used his magic and teleported home.
