Work Text:

It was a snowy evening… who am I kidding? It wasn’t just any evening; it was Christmas Eve, and Class 1A was hosting a Christmas party. But thanks to the recent threats, they had pro hero Hawks there to… be a bodyguard?

Well, he was also going because Tokoyami told him how amazing these parties are, and he wanted in, so obviously he agreed!

But it wasn’t as glamorous as he thought it would be…

“Seriously, Aizawa! I have to be outside the whole time?!” Hawks said in a whiny voice.

“Yes, seriously,” Aizawa deadpanned.

“But I’m gonna freeze half to death before the villains even get here!” Hawks said, crossing his arms.

Aizawa sighed. “You won’t be out here all night. If Mic doesn’t get too wasted, I’ll force him to stand out here while you take a break.”

“We both know that’s not gonna happen,” Hawks said, walking over to the door and leaning against the wall next to it.

“Alright, just shout if anyone attacks or if you start getting hypothermia,” Aizawa said, walking back inside and closing the door.

“What a great way to spend Christmas Eve… I don’t even get a gift…” Hawks mumbled, staring at the snow.

It had been thirty minutes, and you guessed it—nothing happened. Hawks was getting bored and cold. He wasn’t prepared to be standing outside all night; he thought he’d be inside, but nooo, he had to do a boring job on his one day off.

Well, it was about to get a lot less boring.

“Is this the place?” Dabi said, putting a hand on Toga’s shoulder.

“Seems like it!” Toga said excitedly.

“For the top hero school, it has terrible security,” Dabi said, chuckling slightly.

Hawks looked up and frowned. “Great, it’s the League of Villains minus… a few,” he thought, standing up properly and walking over.

“Hey, you guys can’t be here. There’s a Christmas party going on, and it’s invite-only,” Hawks said, crossing his arms, trying to look intimidating…

“Well, good thing I have an invite!” Toga said, beaming.

“Oh… well, you can go in then, I guess,” Hawks said, sounding confused, but an invite is an invite—he can’t argue with that.

“Yay, thank you! See you later, Dabi!” Toga said, running inside.

“And you? Where’s your invite?” Hawks asked, looking him up and down… he was hot.

“I don’t got one,” Dabi shrugged. “I’m just here to drink and bodyguard.”

“Oh, well you better stay far away from me!” Hawks said, a small pout forming on his face.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, princess,” Dabi said teasingly.

He walked over to the opposite side of the door and sat down in the snow.

“Huh, what a weird guy…” Hawks thought, trying not to stare, but he couldn’t help it.

Dabi pulled out an unlabelled (and probably stolen) bottle of alcohol and a shot glass.

“Hey, princess, you wanna play truth or drink?” Dabi asked, making space for Hawks to sit.

“Yeah… why not,” Hawks said, sitting down.

“Okay, it’s simple. Ask a question; you can either say the truth or take a shot. First one drunk loses.”

“Mm, alright. You go first then,” Hawks said, playing with the snow around him.

“Okay, do you enjoy being a pro hero?” Dabi asked. It was a boring question, but he was starting slow.

“Yeah, obviously. If I hated it, I wouldn’t be one,” Hawks said, contemplating throwing snow at Dabi but holding back… for now.

“Expected… anyway, your turn,” Dabi said, staring at him.

“Well, do you enjoy being a villain?” Hawks asked, starting to form a small snowball.

Dabi grabbed the shot and drank it.

“Don’t wanna answer, huh?” Hawks said jokingly.

“Nope. Anyway, let’s go more personal… what’s your sexuality?” Dabi asked, pouring more alcohol into the glass.

“Why, do you wanna know if you have a chance with me? Anyway, I’m bi,” Hawks said confidently.

“Hm, nice,” Dabi said softly.

“Anyway, what’s yours?” Hawks asked, clearly interested.

“…I’m gay,” Dabi mumbled, his face flushing slightly.

“T-that’s cool,” Hawks said, suddenly feeling… different.

“Uh, a-anyway, let’s keep going,” Dabi said. His chest felt odd, sort of warm?

He paid no mind to it, though. It was probably just the cold messing with him…

Yeah… the cold, and definitely not a certain boy sitting in front of him.

“Have you ever had a one-night fling?” Hawks asked, interrupting Dabi’s deep thoughts.

“Yeah, many,” Dabi said dismissively. “And you? I bet you’ve had quite a few since you’re number two.”

“I think I’d like one right now,” Hawks said, looking Dabi up and down.

Hawks blushed, realising what he was saying—

He picked up the drink and downed it, wiping his mouth after.

“You… you what—” Dabi said, his mind and heart racing.

“You heard me… I’d like one now, if you’d want that too,” Hawks said, his face flushing even more.

“Y-yeah, we could do something,” Dabi said, moving closer.

“What’s something?” Hawks asked, moving closer as well.

“Anything you want, princess,” Dabi whispered, smiling as the other boy’s face flushed once more.

“Okay then… just tell me if I’m too much,” Hawks mumbled before pressing his lips against Dabi’s for a long, passionate kiss. Then he moved down, kissing his neck and leaving little hickeys.

“Can I… take this… off?” Dabi asked breathlessly.

“Y-yeah,” Hawks said, kissing him.

The two lay there, half-dressed, freezing but also flushed.

“Put your shirt on. You’re gonna catch a cold,” Dabi whispered.

“Mm, fine,” Hawks said, pouting.

“That’s my shirt—nevermind. I’m taking you to my house anyway,” Dabi said, putting his jacket back on.

“Y-your house? What are we gonna do there?” Hawks asked excitedly.

“Sleep, shower, watch a movie… and, uh, other bedroom things…” Dabi said, mumbling the last part.

“I’m sold, let’s g—” Hawks said, but he got interrupted by the door opening and Toga walking out, followed by Ochako.

She paused, seeing them laying in the snow, hair messy, Hawks wearing Dabi’s shirt.

“You know what? I think I’ll sleep here tonight,” Toga said quickly, leading Ochako inside.

They burst out laughing.

“Huh, this night wasn’t that bad,” Dabi said once they got into his bed.

“Yeah, I was pretty pissed off having to stand outside, but it was worth it,” Hawks said sleepily.

“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” Dabi smiled at his sleepy face—it was really cute.

“Do you, uh, wanna go out with me…?” Hawks asked, trying his best to stay awake.

Dabi’s face flushed. “Yeah, I-I’d love that…”

“Yay…” Hawks said, drifting off to sleep.

Dabi kissed his forehead before switching the lights off and cuddling up to him, falling asleep soon after…
