Chapter Text
“How are you going to be a hero if you don't even have any powers?”
I'm used to hearing things like that, but being teased constantly every day never got any easier.
Batsuki Kakugo was the most popular kid in our school. Whatever he decided was law. His amazing explosive powers earned him everyone's respect and loyalty.
and unfortunately, Batsuki decided that bullying me was the law.
“Leave me alone! I know I don't have any powers, but someday I'll become a hero!”
“And how are you going to do that, loser?”
Batsuki pushed me, causing me to fall on the sidewalk, right at the school entrance. But no one did anything. I'm not asking anyone to save me, I just want someone to being on my side...
“I'm going to be a hero and you'll see that I'm somebody! And that I'm here!”
Batsuki got angry, as I saw his hand charge up with an explosion and come closer to my face. But I wasn't going to leave without a fight.
He's my friend, but I'll defend myself because I have to prove what I'm capable of...
Just as the fight was about to break out, I opened my eyes for a second. What I saw shocked me.
Right behind Batsuki was none other than the number one hero... All Might!
“What's going on here, young people?”
said the brave hero, with his characteristic smile and heroic demeanor.
Batsuki stopped immediately, now with a look of amazement almost as big as mine (he's also a big nerd in secret).
“Oh my God! All Might!” he exclaimed, along with everyone around us.
“That's me! And let me tell you, bullying is very wrong, you should never attack others. That's not what a hero does!”
Batsuki looked at the ground, clearly embarrassed. He glanced at me and said, “I'm sorry.” It was quiet, but it was the best thing that ever happened to me.
“And I hope it doesn't happen again!” exclaimed All Might, charismatic as ever. “Well, there's a lot of crime and fighting and only one symbol of peace, so i'm leaving now! Plus ultr-”
“Wait!”
I interrupted. I didn't want to be disrespectful, but I had a question I needed answered.
“All Might... even though I don't have a quirk... can I still be a hero!?” I said, trying to hold back my tears of emotion.
All Might looked at me with the smile I admire so much, put a hand on my shoulder, and said:
“I think you'll be the best of heroes... Izuku.”
I looked at him in surprise. How did he know...?
“We'll see each other again later, good luck.”
Finally, he got up and jumped away, disappearing among the rooftops.
I stood there, stunned.
Little did I know that this would be the first interaction between me and All Might, of many more to come.
Notes:
Hi!! My name is All Mighty!! From my name and, well, the fic, you can guess that I'm a big fan of the number one hero!
I'm writing this fic just to vent my frustrations (I know it's amateur writing, but it's one of my first fics, so please excuse the spelling mistakes). The characters here have nothing to do with the people they're based on! It's just for fun! Thanks for reading, stay tuned for updates.

“Student Midoriya!”
Just as Deku was about to respond to the nice comment on his fanfic, he remembered he was in the middle of class.
“Are you going to tell me the answer to question 10?”
He looked at the teacher, who was clearly annoyed, and noticed he was using his cell phone.
He looked around. Kacchan was looking at him with a mocking smile, and the rest of the class was about to do the same.
He was in deep trouble.
He quickly got up from his desk and bowed nervously. “I-I'm sorry, Professor! I wasn't paying attention!” He decided to be honest. He had already been caught anyway.
Deku tried not to make eye contact with the teacher, but he could feel his gaze on the back of his neck.
“Yes, I noticed,” he replied in an annoyed tone. “Leave your cell phone on my desk and you can pick it up at the end of the school day. This will go straight into your record.”
With the whole class staring at him, Deku stood up and nervously left his phone with the teacher, quickly returning to his seat and wishing the ground would swallow him up.
It could have been worse; at least he didn't ask to see what was on his phone.

For quick summary:
Izuku Midoriya, a 14-year-old student with a dream: to become a hero!
The problem is that, unlike everyone else (actually 80% of the population), he has no powers.
The solution? For now, cry, try hard, and of course, pour his fantasies into AO3, his best friend.
He doesn't really have any other friends, so...yeah.
He had arrived home after a long day at school, but his day wasn't over yet. Now he was facing the biggest challenge of his newly started writing career: having to write fanfiction without it sounding like the self-insert that it is.
It's not that he cares what other people think, anyway, you're not going to judge people who write fanfiction on a fanfiction site.
But he can't help feeling that there must be at least one person who can relate to his story. And that's why he wants his fanfiction to be for anyone who reads it! (Which will be like four people).
Maybe he shouldn't take this as seriously as he does, but if he's totally honest with himself, beyond just indulging his fantasies, he started writing this because he was saddened to see that the All Might hashtag had almost no stories about him getting an apprentice.
He wanted his fanfic being THE fanfic for people who want this plot, and that's why he wanted to do it right. And he would start with the name of the protagonist, which he had completely skipped in the first part...
It would be too cheeky to call him Zuku Idoriya or something like that. It would had to put it a bit of brain, he had to develop the protagonist more in general.
Until now, he had thought of him as “me, but he knows All Might,” but it wouldn't hurt to give him some more interesting details.
Izuku check the time while he have the notes app open nothing written in it. 1:45 AM.
He urgently needed to sleep... he was going to consult the details of his story with his pillow.
