Chapter Text
⚽ The Secret Family of... Bunny Iglesias?
Yesterday, the world witnessed Star player from F.C. Barcha sharing a kiss with an unknown man while holding a baby that shares the same shade of hair color as the Spanish striker. Bunny Iglesias, a very charming Alpha that has never let himself get caught with anyone; Alpha, Beta or Omega, - finally showed the world yesterday a hint of his humanity.
Can this meant that Bunny Iglesias has a secret family he never bothered to mention? Is the asian man Beta or Omega?
Bunny's red eyes were staring holes at the article.
"If you keep staring like that, you will make that thing catch fire, Iglesias." His manager said and stood up. "Now tell me who they are so we can map an action route to keep them and you safe. So you can spin the story to suit you and them better."
Bunny frowned his mouth but spoke.
"They are..." he glanced up at the man with that knowing smile of him.
"Your family." The man stated. "Is all written on your face." He sighed. "Finally, some good press for the club. A miracle coming from you. The world will love this."
The man smiled softly, a peace that was transmitted to Bunny immediately.
Rin was a bit taken by the attendance in the stadium. The winter was coming, the cold was coming, but the stadium was packet as if God himself was coming down from heaven today. And Rin was seeing it all in HD and 4K because even when he was a bit cold... this was important.
He looked down at the pitch where the players were already doing the warm ups, though Rin doubted anyone could get warm in such weather. True, the stadium had heating sits and all that... but that wasn't the same case for the pitch where the players would be unraveling carnage after carnage.
Because La Copa was something important for Spanish players and well... he was in Spain. Even if he hated the weather that was enforced on him. Growing up in a warm city, where rain wasn't a common friend meant that right now, in this Spanish hell of weather, he was suffering.
In silence.
Because the bundle strapped to his chest was peacefully asleep and Rin wanted to keep it that way as long as needed. He didn't want to disturb the small kid resting against his chest. He didn't want for the kid to wake up by a halt, a surprise awakening and risking a wailing session amongst strangers, that will probably understand that a kid crying is normal. But he was raised in Japan, where a wailing child might make other people sees you as the spawn of Satan himself.
And Rin wasn't ready to be in the spotlight again. Not in football and not in his civilian life. So, he settled down with a lettuce hamburger and set himself to watch while the small human strapped to his chest slept to their heart's content.
"This is gonna be a good match!" The person besides him yelled and the woman besides him thumped the yelling man in the arm.
"Watch up. A baby is sleeping." The woman said and Rin smiled in gratitude and nodded towards her. "And look, a Barcha baby fan." The woman said softly while the stadium kept filling itself with walking fans. "We don't have many of those nowadays." She stated. "They are so cute." She cooed in the baby's direction.
Rin smiled softly.
"Thank you," he stated softly, carding a hand through soft tresses of hair.
Being VIP was a plus, Rin guessed. It was mostly quiet down here, even if he thought a missed ball might hit his charge.
Still... it was better than up there with the yelling people. And people will yell until their lungs bleed because this was the final match of La Copa Del Rey and it was Re Ale vs Barcha.
In his seat, Rin was internally praying to God for this thing to end up good and not like the things he has seen in internet. These two Argentinian teams: Bocha vs Rivera sometimes ended up with people injured.
And with a kid strapped to him, Rin didn't wanted to up and go, running for their lives, literally.
He sighed and resigned himself to keep watching these people run behind a ball.
You were there once. Remember? His schizophrenia whispered to him. You are still playing football, at home. Defeating someone that is beyond genius. Remember?
The memory of an abnormally tall husband assaulted his head. The Alpha he shared life with was a freaking giant that was considered... an impulsive idiot with the emotional range of a pastry spoon. Or so, the media wanted to paint him. Rin knew the truth though. His Alpha was good, demanding and a bit pushy, but a good heart he possessed and Rin was glad about it. Because even while living in the century they are living in, he can still see collared Omegas sometimes.
Kill me if I ever suggest something as stupid as collaring you, Omega. You will be faithful to me because that's what you desire so. If you don't, you are free to go.
And Rin stayed. Because he knew what that meant. Going away into a world that hated his second designation. The weak sex, the lesser ones. But his Alpha never treated him like that.
No.
For his Alpha, Rin was like a kind of deity. Someone mighty, capable of creating and sustaining life inside his own body. For his Alpha, Rin as an Omega, was worthy a fortune and then some more. His Alpha let him work and let him keep his autonomy, something that Rin always thought he will lose once he was old enough to be marry off to some Alpha.
But he landed a good one. And even if society restricted him, his Alpha didn't. No. His Alpha pushed him to do more, to be better, to keep moving.
And Rin was thankful for that.
From his point of view, Rin could see his own brother in the bench. A substitute still. Someone that was bound to play next season. Someone Rin hasn't talk to since the Blue Lock U-20 match years ago.
He carded a hand through his charge's head and looked down. A chubby face welcomed him and he smiled softly. His charge was so pretty while asleep. A true tornado while awake.
And Rin would never have it another way.
The whistle arrived and the players were off as if they were in a bizarre kind of 300 movie, if Spartans ever deigned themselves to run after a ball to put it inside a net. He could picture the Spartans kicking everyone and everything alright, though.
I wonder what would soccer will look like if we were given spears, a sword or maybe a light saber...
But he will never know what his crazy mind might answer to him, because a soft yawn and a small hand gripping his sweater with the force of a machine made for so, dragged his attention away from his cavilations. A small sigh of contentment scaped the small mouth and the smell of baby milk invaded Rin's senses.
He waited for a moment until a pair of big and innocent eyes opened. And when that happened, Rin pressed a finger against the chunky cheek.
"Welcome back," he stated softly.
The baby blinked those pretty eyes of him at Rin and the Omega had to fight against himself to keep his scent close to his body, even when all he wanted to do was to cocoon them both in it.
"Papa." The baby said and Rin nodded.
"Yeah. We will see Papa soon enough." He stated softly, pressing his index finger against the small button nose and extract a happy giggle from that small body.
Re Ale was losing until their couch decided to make a small change. The stadium watched with hungry eyes how at minute 23 of the second time, Re Ale took Mario Gonzalez out of the pitch to enter Sae Itoshi, the debutant of next season was entering sooner than expected.
"What does this mean for us?" Demera asked him, his green eyes already tracing Sae Itoshi, the man that was supposed to be something akin to a god in the football realm.
Or something like that Bunny heard the last time he was in Japan sightseeing. Getting to know Kamakura and every single aspect of it he didn't get the first time he visited. The same Japanese people that taught him how to play Japanese Go were the same that prized Sae Itoshi as a god.
"This means nothing," Bunny said. "You have seen how my Omega plays." He said softly while the others walked towards him. Being 27 and an Alpha reaching his prime meant that they were listening to him. "This is the same. Think of it like that." He stated softly, his red eyes burning with passion.
"That's not the reassuring words you think it is." Diaz said looking around. "Your Omega can cook anyone in the pitch. Hell, I'm really praying for him to accept to be in our team in a year or two. Even if as a couch."
Bunny sighed.
Yeah, his pretty Omega can cook anyone in the field. He can even cook Bunny somedays and that was the sexiest thing he has ever seen in his life. His Omega moved like water levitating through air: gracefully and with a touch of impossible.
Bunny loved it since the first time they met in that beach in Japan. That way of moving was what caught Bunny's attention and lured him towards his lover.
"Don't panic. He is a newbie and old one above that." Bunny said softly. "Just focus and play as always."
Unlike his brother that was tender 23, Sae was a year younger than Bunny himself. Debuting at such an old age might be a bit laughable, specially for an Alpha.
Well, whatever. It wasn't Bunny's bisuniness. He had other things to attend to. Like impressing certain someone in the VIP sittings. He hoped to hear a small cheer above the yelling stadium, if not with his human ears than with his human heart: the one that still held a spark of undying love and loyalty inside it.
I destroyed Sae Itoshi once. His mind supplied him with the memory of a younger Sae, with innocent eyes and more innocent soul. Without wanting it.
But he did so and he was tired of being polite in the pitch. If Re Ale would have just given up...
The whistle sound again and Sae renowned the game with a clear pass.
If Re Ale have just given up when they were in the half of the second time, Bunny might have thought about letting them keep their dignity, but Sae Itoshi and him... they had a long, undying beef between them.
And for each tear he had to wipe at night, for all those nightmares that kept him up at night, holding a soulless body for an hour or so; Bunny vowed to shred that Royale's pride into tiny specs of dust. One thing was playing in a setting, in a state of mind where everything seemed boring and easy; another was to play in a state of mind where all you desire is revenge, to spill the blood of those who hurt you.
But Bunny kept his scent close to his body while he moved. His mind working passes ahead of Sae’s small mind.
And he let Sae Itoshi lead an attack to score a goal. A goal that was made due to the redheaded Japanese player. But that was alright. He could see the hate in Sae's eyes already dimming and giving space for that cold and calculated pride.
Wasn't that the reason it was so hard for you in here at the beginning, redhead? He asked himself for a second.
Yeah. It was. Spanish players weren't known to accept whatever kind of complex Sae was burdened with when he was born. They hated it and the other knew it all very well, but he learned very late in life that it was attitude not his nationality what drove them into bullying him.
They restarted after that goal and Bunny played like they have never seen before. Because he was done with this game already, because he was decided for Barcha to keep the cup right here in Barcelona, because he had decided already that he didn't want additional time.
Because he was so done with Sae Itoshi. The guy exhausted him by only being in the same area as him and he was sure it wasn't something he developed on his own. No. It was born out of pain, out of endless nights where sleep would avoid him while the body besides him slept only because of exhaustion. It was born out of a bitter something coiled furiously in his chest.
Today I will bury you, Sae Itoshi. Bunny promised.
And he did. He challenged Sae Itoshi, the genius of Re Ale for this season. And even when it was a good match, a good 1vs1, Sae Itoshi was still years behind someone that mastered street football like he did. Because Sae's football was technical, pretty and royal. But Bunny's wasn't. Because his play style was as devastating as his lover's own style. Destruction was what they seek when they play.
And Bunny loved it all.
He raised the ball with the toe of his boot.
Because all he had ever known was sweet destruction.
He took his shot even when Sae Itoshi was in front of him. 27 meters away from the goalposts. While Sae Itoshi was still looking at him with those cold eyes, the same he was used to see on a daily basis. The whistle blew signaling the end. 5-3 in favor of Barcha. But Bunny didn't care because his ears caught something:
"Papa!" The high pitch of a baby at his left and a set of flailing hands. "Gol!"
And when Bunny turned on his heels, he saw a baby with white hair and bright eyes extending their chubby arms towards him. And he... he ran towards the baby and extended his own arms to take him. Forgetting for a second, Bunny kissed the man that had been carrying the baby, square on the cheek, sandwiching the small being between them for a small moment, before hugging the enthusiastic baby against his chest... in front of all the stadium.
And the baby giggled and bounced on his arms. White hair falling on fair skin and a set of teal, happy eyes.
A camera went off taking the moment in HD.
The air inside the plush, black SUV was thick, not with celebration, but with a crackling, toxic mix of pheromones.
Bunny’s scent—usually a confident, sharp burst of burning oak and adrenaline—was now sour, curdled by panic and regret. It pressed against the leather seats, suffocating.
Rin, cradling a now-sleeping baby against his chest, kept his eyes fixed on the window. He was a stone statue, rigid and cold, and his Omega scent was barely detectable, tightly suppressed beneath a layer of pure, frozen mint.
“They got it,” Bunny finally ground out, the words tasting like ash. He had removed his sweaty jersey, leaving him in a compression shirt that did little to hide the tremors in his shoulders. “They got the kiss. They got Shun.”
Rin didn't turn around. He didn't have to. The overwhelming anxiety rolling off his Alpha was answer enough.
“You were high on the win, Alpha,” Rin’s voice was low, flat, and colder than his scent. “You forgot where you were.”
But even when Rin's words were cool and calm, Bunny still thought that his Omega was mad at him for risking them like this.
"I am..." he tried to apologize but was silenced by the soft eyes of his partner.
His red eyes glanced down towards Rin's arms. Rin held their son close; the toddler having fallen instantly asleep in the security of his Omega mother's arms. Shun's small chest rose and fell in time with Rin's steady breath.
"Don't say you are sorry, please." Rin said, his teal eyes softening a bit more. "I know you don't regret us."
Bunny watched them, his celebratory high long gone, replaced by a warmth, immediate clarity. He reached out and gently traced the name Iglesias stitched onto the back of his son's jersey. The golden letters were tiny on a tiny back. If he were to rub a bit harder, he was sure the smell of baby laundry power will come off the fabric and will fill the car with it.
“I don't regret you or him. I could and I would never." He stated softly, making Rin's shoulders uncoil. The smell of Rin's body releasing inside the car and with it, Bunny's own shoulders sagged with relieve, his own scent of smoke and sandal wood floating around his family.
"Then, don't be sorry." Rin stated softly but firmly. "You think they got it?"
"They do. I know what they saw,” Bunny said, his voice quiet, stripped of the usual Alpha boom. He didn't sound panicked; he sounded focused, like a player anticipating the opponent's next move. In Rin's arm, their son let out a soft sigh of contentment, his chest raising and falling with relaxation. “The kiss, the hand-off. Everything.” He carded his hand over the small head of his son; it looked humungous against his son's small head.
Rin simply shifted Shun, ensuring the blanket covered the boy's head, shielding him from the city lights flashing past. He finally met Bunny’s eyes. There was no accusation there, only a shared, profound understanding of the catastrophe they now faced.
“It was bound to happen, eventually,” Rin murmured. His voice held a low, resonant steadiness that was Bunny’s favorite thing about his Omega—it was his anchor. “You scored the winning goal, Alpha. Your focus wasn’t on the perimeter; it was on the celebration. And on us. How's your inner Alpha?”
That freaking way of rationalizing everything... He scored the best Omega in the whole world, and he was grateful for it. Bunny reached across the console and took Rin's hand, gripping it firmly. Rin did not pull away. The contact was a silent confirmation of their strength. He took a deep breath and spoke his truth for the ears of his beloved family.
Of his beloved Omega.
“My inner Alpha is happy the world knows, Rin.” Bunny said, his eyes intense. “I hate it when other Alphas look at you as if you are some kind of dish for them to wolf on. Even when you are with our child. I don't want to spin this. No cousins, no nephews, no 'close male friends.' I want to stand up and say: This is my life. This is my family. Alpha and Omega. This is my son, and this is my Omega, my partner, my husband and my sun. They are my whole world.”
Rin leaned his head back against the seat, a long breath escaping him. The Omega pheromones he typically held tight were allowed to soften, mixing trustingly with Bunny's Alpha anchor.
“We’re ready, then,” Rin confirmed, his hand tightening around Bunny’s. “We tell them the truth, the whole truth, about the designation and about Shun. No more hiding. They can rage, they can whisper, but they cannot say we lied. They will never get to rub this on Shun's face when he is all grown up.”
“Never,” Bunny vowed, lifting Rin’s hand and bringing it to his lips, a soft, private claim. “We face this as a unit. Whatever fire they throw, we stand in it together. For Shun.”
The sleeping child, tucked between his two loving fathers, was the only proof they needed that they had already won the most important match of their lives.
"Let's do that, Alpha," Rin whispered.
"Let's put you in your car seat, mi solecito." Bunny said, taking the sleeping baby from his Omega mother and pressing that small body against his broad chest. A puff of air hit him square in the face. The smell of milk instantly warming his heart. His son moved restless for a moment, until Bunny released a bout of his pheromones and his son settled.
Bunny extended his body, careful to keep his baby in a safe position, to then deposit the baby on the car seat. He pressed his hand against the small chest for a moment, the burgundy and royal blue lines of the t-shirt stark against the baby's skin tone, against Bunny's skin tone. His son settled again, Bunny clicked the belt in place and he maneuvered himself to face the steering wheel again.
"Let's go home, Bunny." Rin said, leaning in and kissing the Spaniard's cheek just as it was done to him a few minutes ago.
"Let's go home, mi amor." He stated, igniting his car to drive his family home.
Their home felt like a sanctuary, miles away from the roaring stadium and the frantic flash of camera bulbs. Here, the air was warm, damp, and scented purely with family. The walls were warmth and painted with love and happiness, and every corner was embedded with the clues of a group of humans that loved each other very much, a bunch of humans that formed a family. A place to be safe and loved.
In the bathroom, Bunny was a study in gentle awkwardness, maneuvering the robust, splash-happy body of his son in the deep porcelain tub. Shun, giggling wildly, used the natural sponge shaped as a football and the baby soap bar as a group of rogue submarines. His flailing hands splashing around and creating bubbles. Bunny's sweater was drenched in water, and his sleeves were dripping from the corners.
His son rocket forward, trying to stick his tongue to a bubble.
“No, mi sol,” Bunny chuckled, his deep voice soft. “Don’t eat the bubbles. It will make your tummy hurt and then, mamma will be sad if your tummy were to hurt. And we don't want for mamma to be sad, right?”
Bunny’s powerful Alpha scent, usually reserved and controlled, was loose and comforting in the close, warm space. It mingled with the sweet, clean scent of baby soap, creating a protective, grounding aura for his baby. With a cup he scooped water to rinse the suds off his kid's skin. And when the soap bar was a breath away from dissolving completely, the striker decided his kid has had enough bathing time.
"Let's get you out before mamma scold us for playing with water," he said, lifting the baby by the armpits and settling the small creature against his 'hip.' To be honest, Bunny was sure it was only an ability of those who can bear babies, because it was awkward for him to do so, and it wasn't for Rin. And his lover had a pretty narrow waist where their fit perfectly.
Well... No one could ever say he didn't try. But sticking his hip outwards like this was a bit painful. Still, he settled his kid against his hip and covered him with a towel, carrying him to the changing panel they installed for this same thing. He set the baby on the changing space and started his work. He was meticulous, gently working a small towel over the toddler’s milky white hair—the same color as his, included with his own curls.
"What do you think? Should I give mamma a gift just because? One of those cinnamon rolls he loves so much since he was pregnant with you?" He kissed the chubby cheek and obtained a happy giggle in response. "Okay. A cinnamon roll for mamma."
“Mama!” Shun shouted, pointing at the door.
“Yes, mama is busy,” Bunny affirmed, looking toward the door. “He’s making sure the world keeps turning by making us dinner.”
In the kitchen, Rin moved with quiet, efficient grace. The television was muted, displaying scrolling headlines that confirmed the victory but also the scandalous photos. Rin ignored them, his focus entirely on the chopping board. He was making a simple chasoba salad—something light, cool, and easily digestible after the stress of the day.
His movements were smooth, practiced, a quiet contrast to the tense precision he usually maintained. As an Omega, his senses were acutely tuned to the atmosphere of the home. The subtle, sweet note of his own scent—clean and like rain on mint leaves—was unfurling, a sign that he was relaxing in his Alpha’s protective space.
Rin looked around and noted the changes. When he first arrived here, the place wasn't like this. The furniture was different and sharp; right now, the sharp edges were covered with round silicon covers to avoid an incident with their son. That baby that was learning to walk in a straight line, but that sometimes wobbled in his steps.
Their son, their precious Shun was the center of their lives. But Bunny was a special kind of star in his universe. It might be hard for him to say it outside of some situations in their bedroom, it might be hard for him to say it outside of intimate moment, but Rin loved Bunny Iglesias like he had never loved before. He looked around and saw the plushy carpet in front of the TV, where Bunny liked to stretch down with Shun on his chest.
This house has seen so much in only two years and a half. And Rin was... happy. He has been happy for the first time in a long time.
He heard the loud, splashing thud from the bathroom and winced, but then heard Bunny’s immediate, calming laughter. The sound was a warmth that settled deep in Rin's chest, releasing the last knot of tension from his shoulders. He kept chopping the last bit of the salad and smiled to himself.
His boys were pure chaos while left unsupervised.
Still, Rin would never change them for the world.
He plated the food and soon, the three of them were in the living room. Shun, smelling wonderfully of soap and lotion, was settled against Rin’s side on the large sofa. Rin had one arm wrapped around the child, gently offering him the last of his milk in a bottle, while Bunny fed the both of them bits of vegetables and meat.
"Tastes good, mi amor." Bunny said, drinking from his glass. Water, because alcohol soured his scent and Shun hated it.
His son didn't recognize him as his Alpha if Bunny drank even the smallest amount of alcohol. And it had been a hard blow the first time it happened. His baby was refusing to be held by him, crying loudly and clinging to Rin as if Bunny had personally kicked all the orphan dogs in the street himself and was the cause of everybody's dead in the world.
"I'm glad you like it." Rin said, softly, sweetly.
Bunny wanted to get his hands on his Omega. If they were lucky, he will impregnate his Omega again to have another one. Maybe, a princess this time.
"Shun and I decided..." He said and Rin looked at him as if he was retarded.
"Should I be afraid of another surprise? The last one nearly killed me from a heart attack." The tone was clipped and a bit playfull.
And Bunny fell in love a bit more with his Omega.
"We decided to make breakfast tomorrow." He stated, laughing immediately.
Rin looked at the corner. "Fine. The extinguisher still works from last time." He stated softly. "Huh, tomorrow I would be able to sleep in late."
Bunny nodded happily.
"See, buddy? A happy Omega makes a happy home." Bunny said, pressing his index finger against the chubby cheek that was ignoring him in favor of looking inside his Omega mother's teal eyes.
Well, Bunny couldn't fault the baby. He spent hours in the past looking inside those beautiful eyes of Rin. Cold and yet, burning with fire and desire. Bunny finished feeding them both and took the dishes to the kitchen to put them in the washing machine. Lifting a burden from Rin's shoulder was his favorite thing to do.
Society might judge him for being so soft on his Omega, because for society it was Rin's responsibility to clean, cook, raise their kid and attend Bunny in their marital bed. But Bunny knew better. Rin's body was still working overtime to make milk for their child; he was still recovering from birthing their baby and... Rin was still grieving leaving his career behind to focus on their family.
And Bunny could understand. You can desire a life and still mourn the one you had before. If Bunny could lift even the smallest burden from his shoulders, he will. He will do it gladly. He set the dishwasher to do a quick job and walked toward the living room again.
The silence that fell was thick and perfect. Rin wasn't talking; he was simply humming a low, wordless tune, the soft vibration of his chest against Shun's back helping to pull the boy into sleep. His turquoise eyes, so often hard and sharp, were entirely devoted, filled with an oceanic depth of soft adoration as he watched Shun's eyelids droop.
Bunny sat close, watching them both. He didn't try to interrupt or inject himself into the Omega-Pup's ritual. This was the most private, most cherished moment of their day. A bond that needed nourishing so Shun knows that both parents are there to take care of him.
Rin, sensing the heavy presence of his Alpha, lifted his gaze slightly. His expression was one of profound, trusting intimacy—a look reserved only for the man who was his entire anchor. He didn't need words. The small, silent communication between the Alpha and Omega was a promise: We are safe here. We are happy.
Bunny absorbed the sight—the curve of Rin’s neck, the exhaustion etched faintly around his eyes that was softened by love, the small, sleeping Alpha-Omega mix nestled against his partner. This was his world. Not the stadium lights, not the medals, but the silent, powerful love glowing between the two most precious people in his life. He felt his Alpha instinct settle, a heavy, satisfied weight in his chest.
Tomorrow, he thought, we face the media circus. But tonight, we just exist.
