Summary
Ratio’s successful and a genius and and a very attractive Alpha who respects people– why would someone like that date him? Aventurine may be in love, but he’s not delusional.
But he fell in love with the professor anyway, and he couldn’t do much about it except keep his the true depth of his feelings close to his chest and still greedily try to keep Ratio to himself. Maybe even woo him, somehow. The thought of using his scent to aid in his seduction had crossed his mind many times– Avgin pheromones were known to be more addicting than the usual Omega’s pheromones, after all– but he refused to stoop that low.
So he tried to woo Ratio in subtle ways. Ways he could play off if he ever got rejected. But Ratio didn’t realise anything. At all. Every innuendo and attempt to flirt got brushed off or taken in a not flirty way.
