Bitter.
If you were to ask what Silent Salt Cookie tasted like when he kisses someone, that would be Shadow Milk Cookie's answer.
Despite his name having "salt" in it, that's not what he tasted like. If it was, one would get dehydrated quickly.
But Shadow Milk was addicted.
The bitter taste of Silent Salt's lips was just bitter enough that it was easy to get addicted to.
And Shadow Milk was overwhelmed by this addiction, as he'd been making out kissing Silent Salt for the past ten minutes with hardly any breaks. This meant he was very much out of breath.
"Silent Salt, please, I can't breathe. Give a jester a second to catch his breath!"
Shadow Milk said, his signature jester smile plastered on his face.
Silent Salt simply gazed at the jester, his eyes locked onto the Shadow Milk's heterochromia pair. What he saw in this lying beast, he did not know. Maybe it stemmed from their past, as virtues, but he could not tell.
Shadow Milk's voice brought him back to the present, a low, surprisingly gentle tone.
"Do you think I'm a monster? Someone who's unlovable? A pesky crumb of a cookie?"
These questions shocked the Beast of Silence, but not completely. He had a guess that most of these questions stemmed from seeking approval and validation from others.
Something that Fount of Knowledge showed bright as day.
"What makes you ask such nonsense questions?"
Silent Salt spoke quietly, his tone carrying an underlying sense of concern and care.
"I don't know, you all seem to hate me most of the time, and I figured I just wasn't worth your guy's time and- Mmpfhh!"
Shadow Milk's explanation was cut short with a passionate kiss from Silent Salt, who held the jester closer.
The beast kept his lips connected with Shadow Milk's for a couple more seconds, before slowly pulling back and speaking.
"Who said you aren't worth my time?"
He asked.
"Well, Burning Spice won't care enough to listen, Eternal Sugar won't let me near her because of her garden, and Mystic Flour-"
"You aren't listening to me. I said, 'who said you weren't worth my time.' Not everyone else's."
Silent Salt interrupted the Beast of Deceit's rambling.
Shadow Milk stared at Silent Salt for a few seconds before speaking again.
"Can I please speak without getting cut off- Mmm!"
Another kiss interrupted him.
"Silent Salt, I swear to the witches if you don't-"
Another kiss.
"Silent Salt, I-"
Another one.
"Stop-"
And another one.
"Screw it.. Mmhh..~"
Shadow Milk gave up trying to speak and just kissed Silent Salt back with equal passion, trying to pull himself closer.
Once again, they proceeded to make out kiss for several minutes, before Silent Salt finally broke away to speak.
"You need not to explain or prove anything to me, deceitful one. You are worth my time and effort. My heart is yours, and yours, mine."
He said, gently cupping Shadow Milk's cheek and stroking it tenderly with his thumb.
"I love you, no matter the issue."
"..I love you too, my silent knight."
Shadow Milk replied quietly.
With one strong heave, Silent Salt lifted Shadow Milk off the ground, wrapping the jesters legs around his waist. Shadow Milk's hands went to Silent Salt's cheeks, while the Beast of Silence's arms wrapped around Shadow Milk's abdomen.
And together (more like Silent Salt carried Shadow Milk), they walked off to a private room in the Spire of Deciet for some "private time."
