You're too Sweet for Me

Work Text:

It was raining like always. Sounds of chopping came from the forest as Collin brought down more and more trees.

Clonelin watched from afar, studying his actions. If it was going to successfully copy him, it needed to learn how to act like him.

It already had his basic looks down, which wasn’t especially hard as Collin’s avatar was rather simple, but his movements were harder.

Clonelin couldn’t figure out how he was able to do everything he did with how painful it all was. Maybe he was used to the pain? It couldn’t think of any other way he could do everything.

Well it could always ask him.

Walking up to the house, Clonelin noticed Collin arguing with EnityOM as usual. It could only catch snippets of their conversations though.

I PUT THE PILLER FIRST AND THEN YOU MOVED YOUR FENCE!

“I swear to god I didn’t.”

I KNOW YOU DID DON’T FUCKING LIE TO ME!

I’m telling you I didn’t!”

They continued to argue until Collin noticed Clonelin’s presence.

“What do you want?” He signed.

“i jst wand to ak ou abt somning”

Before speaking again he turned towards Hunger. “We can pick this up later.”

OH THIS IS BULLSHIT!

Go.”

...FINE.

They walked away, mumbling something about property lines.

The

Collin waited until they was fully out of earshot before speaking again.

“Come in come in, it’s too rainy to be outside.”

The sentence was kind of redundant as it was always raining for Collin.

Clonelin entered the house (it was the first time it had entered with permission) and wiped its feet on the welcome may as it had seen Collin do before.

“So,” he started, “what did you want to talk to me about?”

“hw d yu do evrthng?”

He squinted at it for a second, trying to decipher what it said.

“What??”

“sn’t it pnful”

“No… is it painful for you?”

“yea”

“Thats, thats not normal.”

“oh”

They both stood there awkwardly, not knowing how to continue the conversation.

Collin spoke up first.

“Is there anything that isn’t painful for you?”

Clonelin thought for a second, trying to figure out what was painful for it to do.

“i cn lay don bt is not a coftrable on te flor”

Collin suddenly felt bad for all of the times he made Clonelin sleep on the floor.

“Well-well if you want I can make you your own bed.”

“rely!?”

“I mean it’s not a problem.”

Before he could finish talking, Clonelin cut him off by basically jumping onto him and giving the tired man a hug. It was promptly shoved off.

“I’ll go start on that bed.”

He quickly walked away before Clonelin could see the blush spreading on his face. It just sat down on Collin’s bed, waiting for him to get back.

He came back about twenty minutes later, bed in hand. Clonelin sat up as soon as Collin entered, like a dog waiting for its owner.

“Where do you want to put it?”

Clonelin pointed towards the spot directly next to his own bed. Of course.

“Fine, just stay on your side.”

Clonelin nodded before climbing into its new bed. Collin looked outside before realizing how late it was. He got into his bed as well and fell asleep almost immediately.

But right before he dozed off, he felt something wrap around him. It was Clonelin’s arm. Now normally he would have pushed it off, but he was just too damn tired. So he slept, cuddling his clone as he did so.
