Summer in the Human World

Summary:

As your friendship with Solomon becomes stronger and begins to build into something more, the brothers find themselves in the human world and want to plan a surprise party.

Notes:

Welcome to my second fic!

The third season had no specific timeframe, but I always imagined it in the summer. (beginning of June - end of August)

I hope you enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“While I’m aware that you know how to cast a binding spell, it is important that you learn that there are two kinds you can cast. One in which you bind two people together and the other in which you bind one person.” Solomon instructed. “Satan has already taught you the binding of two people, but it is important you understand how to cast one on an opponent. Allow me to demonstrate.”

Before your exit from the Devildom, you made a promise to Solomon to become sorcerer partners and work together to protect humanity and overcome obstacles together. Despite only becoming acquainted with magic a year ago, your raw magic power is one of the strongest in all three worlds— even surpassing Solomon himself. Unfortunately, such strong magic power came at a price that caused destruction in all three worlds and nearly a casualty. In order to help control your magic and keep it at bay, you were given the Ring of Light by Simeon which restored peace to all.

Which brought you to your current life development: being Solomon’s apprentice.

A few weeks after you returned to the human world, Solomon called to officially arrange your sorcery lessons. It reminded you of being in University— except you didn't have to pay for these lessons and you're actually interested in what he’s teaching and paid extra close attention. After all, the man actually gives you homework and quizzes to pass. Therefore, you both arrange to meet three times a week at his new penthouse he decided to rent for the time he’s staying in your city.

You nodded at Solomon as you placed your pen down on your notebook and stood in front of him. “Okay. Now, in order to bind someone, you must say the right incantation— repeat after me; I call upon the earth itself to shackle the one who stands before me.”

“I call upon the earth itself to shackle the one who stands before me.” You repeated.

“Leave them bound and helpless. I am the sorcerer Solomon. Answer my call.”

“Leave them bound and helpless. I am the sorcerer Y/n. Answer my call.”

“Perfect! Now I’m going to place the binding spell on you. Even if you say the incantation correctly, it is important to be at full focus with magic casting or it could result in the spell coming out weak.” Solomon placed his spell book on the nearby table before turning back to you, “When your spellcasting is proficient, you’ll be able to cast spells just from abbreviation or without the incantation at all. For demonstration purposes, I’ll always say the full incantation until you are at said skill level.”

With that, Solomon snapped his fingers as he smiled at you, “I call upon the earth itself to shackle the one who stands before me. Leave them bound and helpless. I am the sorcerer Solomon. Answer my call!”

You suddenly feel surrounded by Solomon’s magic as the spell is at work. You look in awe as your arms are suddenly pressed tightly to your sides and a brown rope wraps around you from shoulders to knees. You let out a small laugh as the spell finished, but it abruptly cuts off to a shriek as you begin to fall forward. Solomon quickly rushes to your side and holds you up with a chuckle.

“Sorry, Y/n! Maybe it would've been wiser to try it with you sitting rather than standing. I can’t have you getting hurt, I wouldn't know how to forgive myself. Besides, your mother would kill me before Lucifer does.” He laughed awkwardly as he wrapped an arm around your roped waist. “Allow me.” Solomon snapped his fingers again, “I call upon the earth itself to release the one who stands before me from these shackles. I am the sorcerer Solomon. Answer my call!” The ropes disappear and you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding in.

Unfortunately, at your sudden unbalanced freedom, you stumble into Solomon and your hands instinctively move to brace yourself on his chest. “Oh! Sorry Solomon.”

“It’s alright. After all, it’s my fault you nearly fell in the first place.” They both laughed quietly before the room settled into a comfortable silence as they gazed into each other’s eyes.

It takes a few seconds for you and Solomon to process the current position you're in before you hastily separate from each other. You make a show of straightening out your clothes as you try to ignore the fluttery feeling in your chest.

Solomon clears his throat and scratches the back of his neck as he tries to ignore the heat that he feels rising on his face. “Okay, now that I’ve demonstrated… I’m going to sit in this chair and I want you to try casting the binding spell on me. Ready?”

Lucifer walked in the common room and felt an odd sense of deja vu as he saw his brothers’ somber states. “Alright, I don’t know what you all were just talking about, but I need you to go clean your rooms. We’ll be leaving for a while.”

“Huh? Where are we going? What’s the point of us cleaning our rooms?” Mammon asked.

“Oh! I’ve been dying for a vacation! I could really go for a place that has a huge shopping district!” Asmodeous said excitedly.

“I want to go on an all-you-can-eat food tour vacation.” Beelzebub interjected.

“I don’t care where we go… as long as the place has comfortable pillows.” Belphegor mumbled in his sleep.

As the brothers began bickering about where they wanted to go, Lucifer cut off all arguments. “We will not be going to any of your suggestions. We are going to the human world.”

A shocked silence fell across the common room before the six brothers shouted simultaneously, “What?!” They all scrambled from their positions before running towards the door to their rooms with the same thought, ‘we get to see Y/n soon.’

Lucifer sighed and shook his head with a smile at his younger brothers’ antics. “This will be an interesting vacation indeed.”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“Thank you Barbatos for lending your power to set Serenity Manor up for my brothers and I. We are truly grateful.” Lucifer said as he stood with Diavolo and Barbatos in the manor’s backyard. The mansion was beautiful inside and out, and filled with different human appliances that they will definitely be needing your guidance on before any of his brothers can break them.

“It was no trouble at all, but I think it’s about time we head back to the Devildom now.” Barbatos said, “Afterall, we’re not on vacation. Are we, Young Master?”

Barbatos pointedly looked at Diavolo, who pouted. “I’m sure paperwork can wait. It’s been so long since I’ve visited the human world for leisure.”

“Young Master.” The butler's tone left no room for arguments.

Diavolo sighed as he looked at Lucifer, “Alright, we’ll be taking our leave. Please say hi to Y/n and Solomon for me.”

“Will do. Travel back safely.” Lucifer responded as Barbatos led Diavolo near the far side of the pool to summon a portal back to the Devildom.

After the portal closed behind them, Lucifer made his way inside the manor where he found all his brothers chatting happily about their accommodations and their desire to see you.

“I think just inviting her over is lame! We should keep our arrival a secret and throw a huge surprise party!”

“Are you sure that's a good idea? She may like surprise parties, but I don't think she’d be happy to find we were in the human world for a certain amount of time without her knowledge.” Satan frowned in thought. A surprise party is one thing, but keeping their presence hidden from you is another. You’d definitely be pissed.

“Come on! It won’t be for long. It ain’t gonna take more than a few days to plan. She’ll be so happy to see us!” Mammon said. Mumbles of agreement sounded through the room as everyone decided to go along with Mammon’s idea.

“Okay, but are we all in agreement that if this ends with Y/n being angry, we blame Mammon?” Leviathan proclaimed, to which everyone agreed. “Hey! What the hell?! No, we ain’t in agreement!” Everyone ignored Mammon as they proceeded to brainstorm who would be in charge of what and how they’d manage to get you to come to Serenity Manor for the surprise party.

“I know! I’ll call Solomon! He can help us.” Asmo insisted as he pulled his D.D.D out to call the sorcerer. After two rings, Solomon answered, “Hey Asmo, what’s going on?”

Asmo tapped the speaker button before he responded, “Hey Sol, guess where I am right now?”

There was a pause on the other line before he answered, “Your background sounds too quiet to be The Fall and if you’re not at Majolish or Madam Scream’s— I’m not sure if I’d want to know where you are.”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?!” Asmo snapped as his brothers laughed around him. “It’s not funny! I’m not some pathetic demon that’s never doing any good, that’s Mammon!”

“Hey! Watch how ya speak about the Great Mammon! Show some respect to your older brother!”

“Ah, so you’re all there? Hey everyone!” Solomon chuckled.

“Solomon, before my brothers can pull you further from the topic at hand, we’re on vacation in the human world for a while and we wanted to know if you could help us surprise Y/n.” Lucifer cuts straight to the point. He’s not in the mood to deal with his brothers’ antics any longer tonight. “We’re staying outside the city but not too far, so getting here shouldn't be the problem. We need someone who can tell her to come here without any suspicion or could give away the surprise.”

“Now that I didn’t expect! You’re all here on vacation? She’ll be happy to see you. I’ll try to come up with something by tonight to get her there, just let me know when you all plan on throwing the party and send me the address.” Solomon concurred.

Throughout the call, Solomon recommended places they could get party decorations, food catering, and groceries. He informed them that D.D.Ds can't be used to communicate with human world phones. They'll have to visit shops in person to place catering orders or use the phone that's connected to the manor. As they finished ironing out the details, Solomon prepared to hang up when Belphie stopped him. “Solomon, you’ve been teaching Y/n magic, right? Tell us how it’s been going.”

Solomon hummed at the question. He'd been wondering how long it would take for one of them to ask. “She’s been a wonderful apprentice. She pays attention and learns at a fast pace. Her skill level has been improving far quicker than I anticipated. I have no doubt she’ll excel at teleportation magic when the time comes.”

“That’s no surprise, Y/n is great at everything.” Beel grinned.

“Where do you guys usually practice? I don’t think humans would react fondly to seeing two sorcerers doing spellcasting in public?” Satan asked curiously.

“Well usually we practice at my place. We wouldn't be able to practice at her’s since she stays with her family— very lovely people by the way.”

“Wait, you’ve met her family?” Levi asked.

“Of course, I drive so I usually pick her up to get her to my place. Whether it be from her home or her job. It wouldn't feel right to have her just come on her own.”

“Then you must be taking her home soon since it’s getting late?” Lucifer lifted an eyebrow in question.

“No, we were actually planning on lessons being a little late today. Usually when this happens I have her stay over. She’s taking a shower right now; she had a pretty long day.”

Solomon was met with silence from the other line before he snatched his D.D.D away from his ear at the brothers’ sudden shouting.

“Solomon, what the hell you playin’ at, you sneaky sorcerer—” Mammon responded heatedly.

“Oh! I wish I could hit you right now! I hate you Solomon, take her home!” Asmo snapped.

Solomon was confused at the sudden outbursts. He doesn't think he said anything inappropriate? Well this could be fun. “Are you suggesting I go in the bathroom while Y/n’s showering, and take her home? I think I’d do the opposite.” He’s enjoying this phone call too much.

He kept the D.D.D at arms length to prepare for the imminent yelling and threats.

“I’ll kill you! Don’t go sayin’ stuff like that, I’m gonna to tell Y/n to stay away from ya!” Mammon yelled.

“If you lay even one filthy finger on her, I will torture you in ways you’d be wishing you could die.” Satan raged.

“I’ll actually find a way to kill you with no remorse.” Belphie snapped as Beel agreed alongside him.

“A new enemy approaches! I knew I was the least important demon as far as she’s concerned, but to rank lower than Solomon is humiliating. Does he have a special advantage because he’s a human too?” Levi resented.

“I’ve had enough of this. Solomon, cut the nonsense and don’t say things just to rile my brothers up for your amusement.” Lucifer snapped.

Ouch, tough crowd?” Solomon laughed, but no one joined as they all glared at the D.D.D as if they could destroy the person on the other side. “Well I’d better go, it sounds like Y/n’s out of the shower. I can't let her see that I was on the phone with you all. Have a goodnight!” Solomon hung up.

Lucifer sighed, “Well I’m going to bed. Do not stay up too late.” With that he retreats towards his bedroom, while the other brothers continue to rave about the surprise party they're throwing you.

Unfortunately, it takes a little less than two weeks before the seven brothers are able to tell Solomon what day to bring you to Serenity Manor.

While preparing for your surprise party, they assumed they could figure out how some of the household appliances worked until you could teach them in the future.

As straightforward as it sounded— Lucifer knew that anything that concerned his brothers and ‘learning’ would never be completed easily.

They were fascinated by the flat-surface stove that could cook food properly without a fire and were curious about the small machine that hovered over it with numbers on it. Above the numbers were different food options such as ‘Popcorn’, ‘Pizza’, and ‘Dinner Plate’. They guessed food would appear when they pressed an option and raved about the advancement of human world technology. Beel excitedly tried to test it out first as he pressed the ‘Pizza’ option, expecting it to appear. The machine glowed yellow and came to life for two minutes before it powered off with a beeping sound.

Beel grabbed the handle and almost ripped the door off only to see an empty space. All the brothers voiced their confusion before they ultimately decided to wait until you could explain the machine to them. This same process repeated for days as they continued to discover unfamiliar devices throughout the mansion, and they all came to the same conclusion.

The human world is an overly advanced place compared to the Devildom.

As for the surprise party, they split themselves into three teams. Asmo, Levi and Mammon were responsible for the decorations and party favors. Beel and Satan were in charge of catering. Even though they weren’t sure what human world food was your favorite, they figured nothing could go wrong with pizza, chicken wings and fries. Lastly, Lucifer and Belphie handled grocery shopping. Apart from needing snacks and beverages for the party, they needed to get food to make their own meals.

Despite the organization, when it comes to the seven brothers there's bound to be a few setbacks down the road.

Mammon, Levi, and Asmo had a difficult time picking out decorations for the party. This should've been expected when putting together three demons with different tastes to decide on how the party should be decorated. Levi wanted character themed decorations unlike Mammon, who wanted the casino themed decorations. Asmo disagreed and suggested any decorations that looked fancy and pink. As they caused commotion in the aisle, an employee settled it by threatening to call security to escort them out if they continued to cause a disturbance.

“We’re sorry, Mister. I was only trying to tell my brother here that a casino theme for a surprise party would be horrible!” Asmo snapped.

“Hey! I’m the only one here givin’ good ideas. At least I’m not suggestin’ a dumb anime character like Levi!”

“She loves anime! At least I suggested something she likes, your casino idea is just selfish and would make her miserable!” Levi berated.

Before the argument could continue, the employee cut in. “If it’s for a surprise party, it’s best to just get colorful decorations. You can’t go wrong with the colors of the rainbow, now if you’ll excuse me.” The employee quickly walked away towards the back of the store muttering about ‘idiotic customers’ as he passed through a door labeled ‘Employees Only’.

The brothers looked at each other in silence before Asmo spoke up. “Yeah, let's just get what he said and go home.”

“Yup.” Mammon agreed.

“Finally.” Levi sighed.

That should have been the end of buying party decorations— until Mammon left the party bags in front of the fireplace causing them to be set ablaze.

Lucifer hung him from the ceiling that evening, while instructing Levi and Asmo to repurchase more decorations the next day.

What really set the surprise party back was the catering order. Satan and Beel visited one of the restaurants Solomon suggested and learned it would take up to a week for the order to be ready for pickup. Typically, catering orders for small parties could be placed twenty-four hours in advance, but small parties don't usually have a demon like Beel attending. With the amount of food he consumes, they needed to order as if the party would host fifty people.

When Satan informed the other brothers of this, they all complained miserably that their reunion with you would be pushed back even further. Feeling as though it was his fault, Beel apologized to which the six of them reassured him that it was alright as it gave them extra time to plan the perfect surprise party.

As for Lucifer and Belphie, they ran into no trouble with grocery shopping. Lucifer’s only worry was keeping Belphie on his feet. The drowsy youngest was not a fan of waking up early, but Lucifer decided it would be best to buy groceries in the morning when shops are the least busy. In Lucifer’s opinion, he’d rather deal with Belphie complaining about walking around too much and wanting to lay in bed than waiting in a long line of customers at check out in the afternoon.

When they did finish shopping and returned to Serenity Manor, Lucifer separated groceries and placed the party snacks in his room while placing the general groceries in the kitchen. He would be furious if his younger brothers ate the party goods early. Human world groceries aren't cheap after all.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

You pulled out your D.D.D and frowned at the unusual lack of notifications. The last message you received was from Solomon an hour ago. He asked to meet you at the park to send you off to the babysitting job he set up for you. At first, you didn’t accept the job offer because you already had a job and was skeptical from that lack of information Solomon gave. When you asked specific questions regarding their age ranges, food allergies, the work schedule and travel distance— he avoided answering. He only informed you that he’d share the address the day you’d be leaving and there was nothing you needed to worry about, except packing a couple of suitcases because you’d be a live-in babysitter for several children.

Apart from the lack of information, the thought of being responsible for multiple children sounded like a miserable summer. At least it did until Solomon told you how much you'd be paid in advance for the three months. It was three times the amount you would normally make in three months at your normal job. You called your boss the same day to ask for a leave of absence.

You assumed you'd be working for a rich family Solomon’s acquainted with when he told you the family already hired you from his recommendation and would interview you for formality purposes. To say you were a bit nervous would be an understatement. If you didn’t know Solomon so well, you'd assume he was trying to send you to an early death.

Not only that, you noticed the brothers haven't been contacting you lately. The arranged phone calls that used to be long and sweet have become short and rushed. Any messages you send only receive a sticker in response or short answers, sometimes even left on read. It’s been happening for almost two weeks and you’re trying not to read too hard into it, but the abrupt change in behavior worries you. Have they grown tired of me already?

You sit on the park bench lost in thought when you hear Solomon calling your name. You give him a small smile and wave your hand as you stand, forcing any negative thoughts about your relationship with the brothers to the back of your mind. “Y/n, how are you? Have you been keeping up with the homework I gave you? I know my coursework can be a bit tough compared to what you’re used to at R.A.D.”

“Nothing I can’t handle and just so we're clear, you're still planning on continuing our lessons even though I took this babysitting gig, right?” You raise an eyebrow at the white-haired man as if daring him to refuse.

Solomon laughs at your sudden serious tone and nods. “Well of course, I can’t have my wonderful apprentice suddenly falling behind. We’ll just work around your time.” He gives you a wink before handing you a small note with an unfamiliar address on it. “This is where the family lives. I know you were probably expecting me to take you myself, but I have a few important errands to run after I see you off. I did call a taxi for you though, it should be here in a few minutes. Even though the interview is just to go over information, are you feeling nervous?”

You scrunched up your face slightly at his words. “Well yes! Who cares if I’m already hired, who the hell wouldn’t be nervous to stay somewhere unknown and with people I know nothing about?!”

“Okay, calm down! You trust me, right? You know I wouldn’t put you in harm's way.” Solomon frowned as he took one of your hands in his and gently used his thumb to rub soothing circles on the back of your hand. Your face relaxes as you look down at your hands together, before looking back up at Solomon. “You know I trust you. It’s part of the reason I accepted this in the first place despite my wariness.”

You and Solomon exchanged soft smiles until a car’s horn was heard from the street. You both turned to see a taxi pulling in alongside the curb. “Looks like your ride is here. Let me know when you’ve arrived safely.”

You nodded as you grab both of your suitcases and begin walking towards the taxi. You only make it a few steps before Solomon suddenly grabs the handle to one of your suitcases, “Wait, Y/n–!”

“What’s wrong?” You look at Solomon with a concerned frown. “Something’s the matter?”

“Actually, nevermind. It’s not important. Let me help you take this to the car.” Solomon takes the suitcases he grabbed, before walking slightly ahead of you towards the taxi.

‘What was that all about?’ You wondered quietly to yourself as you stared at the back of Solomon’s head.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Holy shit.” You whispered to yourself as you stood in front of a large, white mansion. “This is where I’ll be working? I pray these are good kids, I want to love my time here.”

You take a deep breath before pressing the doorbell.

“Coming~”

You shook your head at the sound of a familiar voice from behind the door. ‘No. I’m just hearing things because I’m worried about them.’ You reasoned with yourself as you heard the front door unlock and begin to open.

You are greeted by the sight of an enthusiastic Asmo.

“Y/n!” He screamed.

You stare at Asmo in disbelief as you hear Satan’s voice coming from behind him, “Well aren’t you going to let her in? Move out of the way, Asmo!”

“I am! But I think she’s in shock?” Asmo pouts as he opens the door wider. Satan rolls his eyes as he moves past Asmo to grab your suitcases and brings them inside.

“Well, aren’t you going to head in?”

You immediately spin around to the sight of Beel and Belphie standing behind you smiling.

“Come on.” Belphie gently places his hands on your shoulders and turns you towards the door where Asmo and Satan stood. You feel Beel’s sturdy finger gently poking your lower back, urging you to move forward. You don't say a word as you walk in the mansion in a daze as the brothers talk around you.

You blink into awareness as you realize all four of them are telling you how much they missed you, before you finally spoke. “What the fuck?!”

They all froze at your outburst and frowned. “Hey, there's no need for profanity.” Satan shook his head.

“I don't know. I kind of like that she's more overtly spoken when she's home.” Belphie chuckled.

They proceed to walk you to what you assume is the living room. You examine the large, pristine area in awe and rub your hands on the soft, expensive-looking white couch they have you sit on. ‘Did they buy this place or does the Devildom have certain places in the human world where demons can temporarily stay?’ You’re barely listening to them explain that they’re vacationing and want you to stay with them, as you're still looking over the living room. ‘They couldn't have been here long. Maybe a couple days? It’s too clean.’ You thought to yourself before giving the four brothers your attention again.

“It was Mammon’s idea to keep it a surprise. So if you’re mad, take it out on him.” Belphie said.

“And since we had to keep it a surprise, I got Solomon to help us and he came up with the babysitting idea in order to get you here without suspicion.” Asmo explained.

“I’m going to kill Mammon! I almost didn't accept because I thought the babysitting job sounded strange when Solomon barely gave me information.” Then you thought about something that was crucial to this decision. “Wait a minute, does that mean I’m not getting paid? This was a scam!”

“That wasn’t a lie. Lucifer will be giving it to you today.” Beel confirmed.

“Lucifer wanted to make sure you’ll still have money since you won’t actually have a job for a while. So he asked Diavolo to provide funds for you.” Satan said. You smiled and made a mental note to thank him and Diavolo later when Asmo suddenly rushed to your side of the couch.

“Well that's enough of that. Let me show you around! This place is called Serenity Manor!” Asmo said excitedly as he grabs your hand and tugs you off the couch. He bolts out the living room with you in his grasp and you both begin laughing when you hear the fading protests from his brothers.

Eventually, each brother took turns showing you around Serenity Manor considering how huge the mansion is and the many different rooms it held in comparison to the House of Lamentation. Although, you were bemused when you noticed Asmo’s bedroom and bathroom looked identical to his one in the Devildom. When you told him this, Asmo laughed and explained that Barbatos created portals that lead back to their actual bedrooms so they could be as comfortable as possible while staying here. Throughout the tour and explanations, it was when you were alone with Satan in the theater room, he let it slip that they’d been here for almost two weeks now. Not a couple days.

They had a movie night last week and loved their new theater room.

You were furious.

As Satan is profusely apologizing, you masked your anger with a small smile as you kissed Satan’s cheek in mock forgiveness.

‘So that’s why they were acting weird. I am going to kill them!’ You think as Satan asks if you want to watch a movie with him, before Levi appears to continue with the tour and shows you the backyard pool and the door that leads to your bedroom.

You send Levi away as you look around your usual Devildom bedroom that was obviously cleaned for the occasion. You laid on your bed as you pulled out your D.D.D to message Solomon that you had arrived, before locking it and falling asleep.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

When you wake up, you realize that you're not in your bed anymore— rather you're being carried in someone’s arms. Someone’s very buff, sturdy arms.

“Beel, what are you doing?” You ask as you turn your head to place a kiss on his shoulder. You look up to see a slightly-blushing Beel looking back down at you with pure adoration.

“You’ll see.” He responds as he continues to walk through the mansion with you. You turn around to see that he’s carrying you towards the patio before he carefully places you on your feet. “Go ahead.” He says as he opens the patio door.

When you step outside, the lights on the patio turn on as all the brothers shout, “Surprise!”

You looked around in amazement at the numerous decorations, a table full of food, and the demon brothers twirling noisemakers in their hands.

“We missed you, Y/n!” They chorused as they pointed confetti party poppers in your direction. You were visibly overjoyed as the colorful confetti rained over your head and laughed.

“I missed y’all too!” You exclaimed as you ran to give each of them a tight hug. “You didn’t have to do all of this, just being together again makes me happy!”

“You always do so much for us. Throwing a party doesn't express our gratitude enough.” Lucifer smiled.

“Okay, can start already? Beel looks like he’s about to jump on the food table.” Belphie said as he noticed the starved look in his twin’s eyes.

“Yes!” Asmo cheered as he grabbed his D.D.D to turn on the speaker and play music. You smile happily as the music fills your ears along with the brothers’ joyous chatter. It’s not until a comment from Mammon that you remembered you were supposed to be angry with them. “See? I told ya she would love the surprise party! Next time don’t doubt your older brother!” Mammon shouted and grinned smugly.

“That reminds me, before we continue I have something to say…” You smiled as you stood in front of the brothers, who looked at you expectantly, “...Stay!”

In a flash, all seven demons were slammed to the ground and they groaned in pain.

“The next time you’re coming for a visit and refuse to tell me the moment you get here, I will hurt all of you so bad, you’ll be begging the Demon King himself to wake up and save you!” You snapped. “All of you were here for almost two weeks and hardly spoke to me, that scared the hell out of me. What do you have to say for yourselves?”

“We’re sorry, Y/n.” They chorused as they all began to slowly get up from the ground, rubbing sore spots on their bodies.

“At least be gentler next time! You know my body is delicate.” Asmo whined as he sat in his chair and rubbed a sore spot on his arm.

“Mammon, this is your fault.” Belphie said with a pained frown.

“Shut up! It ain’t my fault all of ya suck at throwin’ a surprise party faster!” Mammon said irritably. “If ya would've just left me in charge of the party money, we would've had her here and celebrated days ago.”

“Yeah, and if we did that there would be no party at all and somehow we’d end up owing someone a debt.” Satan sighed.

You watched as the brothers argued amongst themselves as you took a seat next to Lucifer, who sighed as he quietly watched his younger brothers as well. “I’m sure this is the part you didn’t miss about us.”

You shook your head. “Nope. I missed every part of all of you, deeply. You guys make me happy.”

When the arguing finally dialed down, it was a remark from Levi that caused another uproar on the patio.

“...I-Is it just me or was Y/n being all bossy kind of—”

“Shut up, Levi!” His six brothers snapped as you laughed loudly.

This is going to be a good summer.
