Chapter Text
It was an ordinary day. Lee Hakhyun was walking peacefully toward his modest home after a successful day of shopping, at least until he spotted something half-buried in a mound of snow—or rather, someone.
The being was severely injured, with numerous cuts, both large and small, scattered across its body. Upon closer inspection, he realized it had also been poisoned. Lee Hakhyun couldn't suppress his astonishment that, despite the cold combined with its precarious physical condition, the creature was still clinging to life.
But it was only a matter of time before the cold or its injuries killed it. Most likely, it would be the former before the latter, as a blizzard was approaching. Lee Hakhyung couldn't let this creature die buried in the snow; It would disappear without a trace until spring arrived…
Hakhyun makes his decision while biting his lip and, with a soft sigh, maneuvers to carry his shopping and the creature's body on his back. The creature is larger and heavier than he expected, which will only delay his arrival home, but alas, Hakhyun doesn't back down despite the obstacle.
After dealing with the creature's hypothermia, Hakhyun can finally attend to its wounds and poisoning. Upon closer inspection, Hakhyun concludes that this being is either a werewolf or a vampire. It's most likely the former, as its muscle mass, resilience, and slightly sharper teeth are characteristics of werewolves.
How on earth can someone be in this state and still look extremely handsome? In the past, Hakhyung thought only a vampire, a fae, or an elf could do that, but apparently that belief has been incorrect. This extremely handsome, half-dead werewolf was proof of that.
Hakhyung shakes his head. He needs to concentrate on his work. He sutures as many of the werewolf's wounds as possible (which aren't many). While he's doing that, his familiar arrives with some ointments and books to ease the pain and learn how to deal with a poisoning of this magnitude.
Because you see, Lee Hakhyung himself is a witch. He's not exactly the strongest, but he's a slightly better than the average. Plus, he managed to get his own familiar! A fox he named 'saenggak' sometimes the fox doesn't listen to him, but he can manage it with a bribe or a good deal.
Anyways, once he stiches and bandages the werewolf, he goes downstairs to his kitchen to prepare a nutritious and digestible meal for the no-longer-half-dead and unconscious werewolf.
At least that's what he did, until he hears a 'thump' from upstairs followed by his familiar's howl. Hakhyung immediately drops what he's doing and heads upstairs. Only to find the werewolf leaning heavily against one of the many bookshelves in his bedroom, with Saenggak tugging at the man's pants.
Their eyes meet, and Hakhyung shudders at the sheer ferocity of those deep, dark eyes. The next moment, the werewolf, demonstrating an astonishing feat of speed and strength, grabs Hakhyung by the neck and lifts him into the air, his feet no longer touching the ground.
Is this what he gets for being a good Samaritan? Damn it.
