“I could hurt you.” The words traveled through her like an electric shock. She grabbed his arm and smirked.
“Not without permission I bet.” She took out the gum she’d been chewing and stuck it to the end of his hook, almost a test to see what he would do. Just as she hoped, he bit the gum off his hook and stared her dead in the eyes.
“You know what I can do without permission?” He whispered as he closed the distance between them.
“Tell me what you want,” he whispered into her body. She pulled his head away from her, holding his neck as she said, “I want to feel like an Isle girl again.”
“As you wish.”
