Chapter Text
The campfire burned brightly in the middle of the campsite, its light flickering across the field as Scouts slowly returned to their tents. The night grew quiet, the air cool and calm.
Jinu remained seated near the fire, his Scout uniform loosened, shoulders heavy with exhaustion. A full day of leading activities as pradana had clearly taken its toll.
Abby approached, carrying a thermos and a thin blanket from the equipment tent.
“Pradana." he said softly, “you haven’t rested yet.”
Jinu smiled tiredly. “Just a bit longer. I want to make sure everything’s settled.”
Abby sat beside him without a word and handed him the thermos. “Drink first. Your voice has been hoarse all evening.”
Jinu chuckled. “Are you the equipment officer, or the caring officer?”
“Both.” Abby replied easily.
The fire crackled gently, casting warm shadows beside them. Jinu let out a long breath.
“Today was exhausting.” he admitted. “But I can’t afford to look tired, even though the members scout are already asleep.."
Abby glanced at him and draped the blanket over Jinu’s shoulders. “It’s okay to be tired. You’re human, not just a title.”
Jinu laughed softly. “If they saw me like this, I’d lose my authority.”
“They see you as leader,” Abby said quietly. “but i see you as Jinu, Humans are also tired.”
Jinu fell silent. The firelight reflected in his tired eyes.
“Thank you" he murmured.
The night carried on, and between the warmth of the campfire and the stillness of the campsite, Abby stayed right there, guarding the equipment, and quietly looking after his Pradana too.
