Chapter 1
Betrayal
I could hear engines roaring, and a black motorcycle in front of me. A silhouette figure was sitting on it holding their hand out to me. I immediately felt trust for this strange person and a hint of betrayal. “Don’t you trust me?” they said, and I held out my hand to grab it and suddenly they zoomed away, leaving me in the dust they left behind. Suddenly, I was in the middle of the road, confused. I turned behind me, to see the same figure coming my way on the motorcycle and I was too slow to get away.
My eyes flew open, and I could see that I was back in my bed, not even a trace all over myself that I was out in the night with a strange silhouetted figure. I looked down at my hands, which were ungloved. My hands were smaller than the gloves, those things exaggerated how my hands looked, and were blue all over, except for my palms which were a lighter shade of blue. A flashback came to me, where I was holding a hand like mine, only black with a red stripe down the middle. I clenched my fists, closed my eyes, and shook my head. Then I pulled down the covers, grabbed my phone, and headed for the bathroom.
I silently brushed my teeth and got changed. I changed into a pair a black shirt, and a dark green cardigan. My cardigan slid down my left shoulder but stayed on my right. When I exited, I closed the door behind me, returned to my room, put on my gloves, and made my way over to the dining room while looking at my phone. I sat down at my large rectangular table, fit for a family of four, crossed my legs, and called Tails.
Tails was on vacation with his girlfriend Cosmo (If you don’t know who Cosmo is, she's from Sonic X and she and Tails liked each other and they are so cute I HAD to have them in this AU) for the past month, and got back recently. I wanted to see what my fox friend was up to. Thankfully, he picked up.
“Hello?”
“Hey Tails! How’s it going?”
“Great, Sonic! Thanks for asking! How about you?”
“Eh, pretty good, but it gets lonely here sometimes.”
“Oh c’mon, Sonic! Lighten up! You just had a party at your huge house just before I left on vacation with Cosmo!”
“Oh yeah! How’s the girlfriend?” I could hear a soft giggling in the background, and then a sweet-like voice responded.
“I’m great, Sonic.”
“Good to know, Cosmo! Also, if Tails ever is mean to you, and I mean ever, you can always talk to me,” I said jokingly.
“Hey!”
“Oh, Sonic! You’re such a comedian!” I could practically hear Tails rolling his eyes.
“Well Sonic, I’ll see you on set!”
“See you, Lil bro!”
Tails hung up, and I set my phone down on the table and looked around my house. I lived in a one-story home, with huge rooms. It had a flat black roof with white on the walls and huge glass windows. My house was located by the sea. Even though I didn’t like the water that much, it was still pretty to look at the sun setting from my big glass wall facing towards the ocean. Of course, this had cost me a lot of money, but as a big-time movie star, model, and frequent commercial actor, thus resulted in a bunch of money. Sometimes I didn't know what to do with it.
I glanced at my clock, it was 9:30 am, and I had to be on set by 10. I got up, grabbed my car and house keys, and left my house.
