Keith sat there, mouth pressed closed, unsure of how he got there.
And then he looked to his left, and—
Keith stared.
A girl in an Alpaca costume—
And then he was elsewhere, watching multiples of that girl in an Alpaca costume dancing and—
Keith jolted up, letting out a deep breath. “Shiro. I want to go home.”
Shiro sighed. “Keith. We’re visiting Uncle Andrew and our cousin Georgia for Christmas.” And then, “Hey! Don’t laugh at him, Ryo.”
“This is going to be fun. Did you tell them…”
“Of course, I told Georgia’s Aunt Christine,” Shiro said. “No worries.
“Sure,” Keith said. “I hate interacting with people.”
“Come on. It’s Christmas, Keith.”
Keith let out a sigh, but when they arrived—
—lots and lots of Alpaca—
And—
Keith stared.
Ryo nudged him. “Not nice.”
He continued staring.
A girl was there in an Alpaca costume, and he was afraid she would start dancing, but she hurried over. “Merry Christmas, Takashi!”
“Merry Christmas, Georgia,” Shiro said, smiling, while Keith continued to look on in horror.
Then—
“What is that?” Keith said, pointing.
“My Christmas Pageant costume for school,” Georgia said, while Ryo nudged him again.
“Oh.”
And then—
“You’re here!” a man said, coming over and—
Keith stared at the man, and the man stared back.
“Uh? Uncle Andrew?”
“Takashi?”
“Yes?”
“Did Ryo multiply or something?”
The color drained from Shiro’s face.
“Can I go home now?” Keith said, looking away.
“Stop being impolite,” Ryo said.
“Not funny,” Shiro said, glaring at Ryo, who looked as if he were about to burst in.
And—
“You must be Keith!”
Keith didn’t like being touched and stiffened up.
“Uh,” Andrew said, pointing. “You knew, sis?”
“Hm?” Christine said, turning to look at him, still hugging Keith.
“Ryo multiplied,” the man said, as a woman came around the corner.
“Ryo multiplied?” the woman asked.
“They’re twins,” Shiro said, sighing. “You must be Georgia’s step-mother, Jess.”
“She made my costume!” Georgia said cheerfully.
“Nice,” Shiro said.
“Wait,” Andrew said. “Twin?”
“Something the matter?” Jess asked.
“Are you saying I missed the twin?”
“Everybody did,” Ryo smirked.
“Not funny,” Shiro said.
And then—
“Don’t you remember?” Georgia said, looking at her father. “Ryo kept telling us about Keith, and now we get to meet him.”
“Now we get to meet him?” Jess said, looking as confused as Andrew.
“You purposefully didn’t tell him to see his reaction, didn’t you?” Shiro sighed.
“Of course.”
“Christine,” Andrew glared at the woman hugging Keith.
“Can I go home now?” Keith asked.
“But you haven’t met the Alpaca,” Georgia said.
“Change out of your costume first,” Chrsitne said. “Then you can introduce your cousins to the Alpaca.”
“I get to meet the Alpaca?” Keith siad.
“I’m still confused,” Andrew said.
“So’s Keith,” Ryo smirked, earning a glare from both Shiro and Andrew.
“I get to meet Alpaca,” Keith repeated, sounding interested, but soon Georgia had him feeding them baby carrots while Ryo watched, fully amused.
“Still want to go home.”
“The alpaca is nice.”
“And what about me?” Georgia asked.
“Our cousin is nice as well,” Keith said.
“Her name is Georgia.”
“Georgia,” Keith said. “Got it. Don’t call me Akira.”
“Hey,” Ryo said.
“Why would I?”
Ryo opened his mouth.
“Don’t tell her.”
“You prefer Keith, so nope,” Georgia said, continuing to feed the Alpaca.
