Chapter Text
A nice cabin house near the city, well-kept rose bushes and infant cries from upstairs. That's how the evenings are beginning to look like in the Kaiser household, the mother, Matilda, rocking her huge little infant Viktor. She tried everything: he wasn't hungry, sleepy, his diaper was fresh and he didn't hurt himself. She just sighed and kissed the birthmark on his right cheek, and the birthmark under his left eye. "Was ist los, kleiner? Bitte(what is it, little one? Please)..." She sighed and went downstairs and stood in the living room for a while, next to the grandfather clock. The loud ticking of it seemed to soothe the boy, as he was now calmly in his mother's arms, his feet dangling a bit.
"Magst du die Uhr(do you like the clock)?" Viktor cooed in response. Matilda placed the boy down on a tummy time mat, the boy holding his head up and propping himself up on his elbows. He turned to watch his mother move around, following her with his big, brown eyes.
She glanced at him, wondering what was going through that little head of his — what was behind those little eyes?
