Work Text:
And just like that, it was Christmas again. And like every year, she hadn’t really done anything she wanted to.
Lucy was used to it by now, but sometimes she cursed herself for making plans and then not following through, especially around the holidays. A time that was really special to her.
But that was okay.
She still adored Christmas. And not just Christmas Eve, or morning, but the entire day.
Like now, as she was sitting on the couch of her apartment, sunbeams bathing the room in light. There wasn’t a single cloud in the sky.
The Christmas tree was all decorated but she wouldn’t turn the fairy lights on yet. Not until it was dark and not until Celina would be home in a few hours.
Until then, she’d go for a walk. Cherish the peace she was feeling in her chest and just be. Sure, she didn’t achieve everything she wanted to this Christmas, but she could still be proud of herself.
There was a new year ahead of her. And she’d cherish it like always.
