   Nolan’s eyes began to roll backwards into his head, his body deciding between fight or flight, though neither was truly possible. Nolan couldn’t pinpoint the pain that radiated through his body, as if he was being poked with hundreds of tiny needles, every single one of his cells charged with a new form of energy that both felt cold and as if he’d been set on fire. Pain surged through his body, and Nolan passed out, before feeling a cool blanket wrap of white light encircle him.
