Omniscient PoV
Christmas
Kit and their partners were on their way to Ashe and Bailey’s house to celebrate. Ali and Merlot had already arrived and we're helping themselves to the food that had already been laid out.
There was a cheesy Hoofmark™ movie playing when Raven walked through the door with Vixen following suit. Bailey immediately swarmed her eldest with affection while Ashe gave Vixen a pat on the back.
“It’s nice to see ya, you should come over sometime to hangout.”
“Oh! Uh, that would be nice I guess, we haven't really talked.”
Reuben’s car pulled up just then.
“Kit!” Ali called outside. “Get inside before I eat your portion!”
“You better not, you bitch!”
Ashe hugged Kit the moment her totally not favorite child walked through the door. “Have you been eating well? You look well. Have you been sleeping well? Oh! Benji! Reuben! How are you boys?”
Kit, Benji, and Reuben responded in affirmative.
Once everyone was inside and seated, they started to eat.
Kit practically moaned from the taste of the food. “Ma, you have to give me your recipe for this.” He said around a mouthful of meat.
After eating, the family gathered around the television to watch cheesy holiday movies and eat sugary popcorn and cookies.
“The fuck is he doin?” Reuben asked as the male love interest proposed to the main character’s sister.
“I have no idea, no idea.” Bailey said with feeling.
After family bonding, food, and shitty movies (minus The Grinch, that's the best Christmas movie), everyone went home to sleep like hibernating grizzlies.
