On Christmas Day, Elias woke up to his phone ringing. He got up and checked the time, IT WAS 7 AM??? Who was even calling Elias at this time? Elias picked up his phone and answered the call, “Hello? Who is it?”
”PLEASE ELIAS HELP ME IM DY— just kidding, good morning mon petit copain,” said Alexander.
“Haha very funny Alexander and now we’re breaking up, I hate you,” said Elias exasperatedly.
”WHAT??? NOOOO PLEASEEE!!!” Cried Alexander.
”Just kidding,” giggled Elias.
”Whatever,” Elias could imagine him pouting through the phone, “Anyways babe get ready and dressed, we’re going out.”
Elias was very excited to spend his first Christmas with his boyfriend! He and Alexander decorated the tree yesterday, so today, it was time for presents! AND a special trip with his lovely boyfriend.
Elias came out of the bathroom and heard the doorbell ring, “I’ll get it!” He told his parents.
Elias opened the door and saw his boyfriend with a Santa hat on. “Alexander!” Elias kissed his boyfriend and pulled him inside.
Elias dragged him into the kitchen to eat breakfast, his mom was making pancakes. “Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Montero,” said Alexander, “Merry Christmas!”
”Thank you and you too Alexander, so much more polite than Elias, he was always very broody before meeting you.” Elias’s mom said teasingly.
“Ugh Mommmmm stoppppp.” Elias wailed.
”Good to know Mrs. Montero,” Alexander kissed Elias on the cheek, “Anyways we’re heading out now, see you guys later!”
They both headed outside to Alexander’s house. Alexander had got his dad to drive them to the train station. As they drove to the station, Elias merrily hummed to Christmas music. When they got there, Alexander’s dad wished them safe travels as they got out the car.
As Elias and Alexander were waiting for the train, Alexander could see Elias shivering even with his winter jacket. Alexander hugged Elias to keep in warm and Elias kissed him in return.
”So where are we going?” Asked Elias.
”Brussels,” said Alexander, “we’re going to see the decorations there.”
On the train, Elias remembered the first time he went to Brussels. Now he got to go back!!!
When they got off the train, Elias was mesmerized by everything. The decorations in Brussels were super magical. Elias stared in awe as he saw the lights, trees, inflatables, etc. It started lightly snowing too, making the scenery even more festive.
They walked around the same square they went to the first time, but now it was very festive. There were also kids trying to make snowmen from the small piles of snow.
Alexander had brought a camera and they took many photos in front of many things. Elias’s favorite photo was the one where they kissed under the mistletoe.
As Elias was looking for something to eat, he felt someone tap his shoulder. Elias turned around and saw Alexander holding a box.
”Here’s your first Christmas present mon petit copain.” Alexander gave him the small box.
Elias opened the box and found a ring with a sun design on it. He put it on and he hugged Alexander. “I love it.”
”And guess what I have.”
“What?”
Alexander held up his hand and he had a ring with a moon design on it. “You’ll always be the sun to my moon.” Alexander kissed Elias and Elias was practically beaming with happiness.
The boys now had to catch the train home, so they started walking to the station.
As they both went inside Elias’s house, Alexander saw that his dad and sister were also here.
”Perfect just in time for presents!” Elias’s mom said, “But first we need to talk some family photos.”
They took a huge family photo and Elias asked his mom if he could take one with just Alexander. Once they took the photo, he asked his mom if she could print it out, so he could hang it in his room. His mom agreed.
Everyone sat around the Christmas tree and handed out the presents. Elias got a new bike from his parents and a watch from Alexander’s dad. Elias’s grandpa gave him new art supplies.
Alexander got a brand new phone from his dad and he got a ton of candy from his sister. Elias’s parents also gave him a bike that matched Elias’s one.
Lastly, Elias and Alexander gave each other their presents.
Elias gave Alexander a letter which contained all the reasons why he loved Alexander, a bracelet which had “E + A” engraved on it, and a Lego set which Alexander had wanted since forever.
Alexander gave Elias a stack of Polaroid photos of Elias and him ever since they started dating and he also gave Elias black nail polish.
After they put the gifts away and cleaned up the wrapping paper, Elias and Alexander cuddled on the couch while watching a movie.
Elias was super happy to spend this Christmas with his boyfriend and hoped to spend all of the holidays with him.
