Summary
This story about Adar and an original character is not built upon a conventional romantic arc, but arises from the deepest questions of human Being and Existence. It speaks of questions to which many find no answers: what Home truly means, whether beauty can be found beneath ruins, Home within loss of Belonging, and Understanding within a world of Misunderstanding.
How does one decide after seeking these in vain throughout an entire lifetime - a Starfleet officer who, through her Force-sensitivity, is now “alone” in the universe, and capable of something that may not be accidental. How does she come to Middle-earth, and how do her missions intertwine with the fundamental questions of her existence. The story places humanity’s deepest frailties under examination, primarily in relation to non-human beings - not to show what we are, but what we might become.
Ambassador Sarah Lincoln pursues the greatest evil, as a new mission irrevocably alters her life.
