Summary
All told, the world outside the concrete walls seemed perfectly… normal. None of the 141 ever spoke of the nightmares, the constant ringing of the ears, or the way their hands twitched towards guns that didn't exist every time they heard a shout, a loud bang, a dog barking. Price didn't talk about the few times he'd been sent to solitary for shattering someone's nose.
And they never talked about that day in the crossover, hundreds of feet below ground. Of the blood seeping into the concrete. The lifeless body resting atop it.
