More than anything though, Levi knows he is selfish.
He had never considered himself as such before and, despite his numerous flaws, has always tried to be as inconveniencing as possible—letting go of his own wants and needs in favor of prioritizing those around him, and blending into the background wherever possible. He kept his own emotions under lock and key, knowing that his shit was too heavy to rest on anyone and refused to have someone fussing over him.
But Levi must be selfish—it's the only explanation for why he allows himself this.
