Chapter Text
It has been a month after the escape from the Duskbreaker. Everyone could finally return to a somewhat normal life after years of living in a fake one. Of course, getting used again to reality after such types of events happened takes a while, but everyone has been moving at their own pace.
As of now, things are going quite peachy for the gang. Saturday and Allison live together in a small apartment, with Allison trying to help Saturday get a job, Eri is trying to find a way to bail Chiyo out of prison, while Kotomi is probably busy reuniting with her beloved fortnite account wife, and for Tsuki and Dawn... things are quite interesting to say the least.
It was 12 in the evening, Tsuki already finished breakfast and dressed up for today, since today they were supposed to go somewhere. However, Dawn wasn't as active, so she went to her and Dawn's bedroom to see if she has gotten ready yet.
Tsuki then entered her bedroom, groaning after seeing that Dawn is still asleep at THIS hour, hair messy, and seemingly drooling a bit. Tsuki then went to her and tried shaking her slightly to wake her up.
Tsuki: Dawn, wake up!
Dawn didn't give any response. Tsuki then shaked her a bit harder.
Tsuki: Dawn. I said wake up.
Surprisingly, this time it... sort of worked. Dawn slowly turned around at Tsuki and droopingly opened her eyes.
Dawn: ughhhhjhjhhhhj what is it
Tsuki: Get up, you sloth. Half the day is already over!
Dawn: okay?????? and so what
Tsuki: What do you mean "So what"???? Just get out of bed. We have things to do today.
Dawn: yeahyeah just. give me five more minutes
Tsuki: Dawn-
Tsuki then got cut off by Dawn falling back asleep. She was slowly starting to lose her patience, but then she noticed the airpods she was wearing connected to some sort of MP3 player, quickly giving her an idea on how to wake Dawn up.
Tsuki: Heh. Maybe this time you'll learn.
Tsuki then grabbed the MP3 Player, and started playing insanely loud speedcore music. The music in question quickly jumpscared Dawn.
Dawn: GUHDFUGHOYLKAWHSIDTWHATFHENJFUCK
Dawn then immediately threw the MP3 Player somewhere, which luckily didn't break, then got up and clutched her chest, breathing heavily.
Tsuki: Morning, sunshine!
After calming down a bit, Dawn then looked at Tsuki, insanely pissed.
Dawn: WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!?!?
Tsuki: Oh, I'm really sorry. Did I disturb your beauty sleep?
Dawn: YES????? LITERALLY WHAT COULD BE SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU DECIDED TO FORCEFULLY WAKE ME UP AT-
Before Dawn could finish speaking, she looked at the time, quite surprised by how late it was.
Dawn: Oh shit, you're right. Half the day IS already over.
Tsuki: Mhm, exactly.
Tsuki: Anyways, now that you are FINALLY awake, you should get ready. We have stuff to do.
Dawn then tilted her head in confusion.
Dawn: Huh??? What do you mean? What is the "stuff" in question?
Tsuki: Ah, right. Honestly it's on me for not telling ya sooner but, we are going to the mall today.
Dawn then slammed her head back onto her pillow, groaning.
Dawn: Oh come on!! But why?? You know how much I hate insanely crowded spaces!!!
Tsuki then gave a small surprised gasp.
Tsuki: You mean you DON'T like the mall, Dawn? Malls are like, some of the best places to go!
Dawn: Maybe for you! It's so crowded it's dreadful, you can easily get lost, there are people who try to take something before you do because they can't bother getting something else, etc. etc.
Tsuki: Well, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there isn't much you can do about it. Besides, we HAVE to go to buy stuff like clothes, food, drinks, and other supplies so we can, you know, live.
Dawn heavily sighed, knowing that her negotiations are in vain, so she decided to just accept it.
Dawn: Okay fine...
Tsuki: Listen, Dawn, I understand how hard it is to get used to the real world after living in a simulation for a long time, It has been hard for me aswell. However, it has been a month, so we should start to atleast TRY to live normal human lives again, therefore we have to try to start doing normal human stuff.
Dawn: Yeah, yeah. I get it. I'll just get ready, alright?
Tsuki then gave out a smile.
Tsuki: Thank you!
Dawn then got out of bed, and started getting ready. She had to get some casual clothing and footwear this time around, since now that she is back on the real world, she realized being barefoot most of the time isn't a very pleasant experience.
Dawn: Alright, I'm done.
Tsuki: Took you quite a while.
Dawn: Hey, you said I have to wear actual clothing now, so I might as well make the most of it!
Tsuki: Cool.
Tsuki: Anyways, I think we are ready to head out now! The next bus will probably arrive in about 10 minutes, so we should get to the bus stop with haste.
Dawn then let out another whine.
Dawn: Seriously????? The bus???? Do you have any idea how TORMENTING it is there!? Why can't we just teleport to the mall without having to going through public transport misery!?
Tsuki unamusedly looked at Dawn.
Dawn: Ah, right. We aren't in some fantasy world anymore, so our powers are pretty much... gone. I keep forgetting.
Tsuki: Don't worry, you'll get over it eventually.
Tsuki: Anyways, enough chit-chat. Let's go there now. I left some oatmeal cubes on the counter of the kitchen if you want some breakfast, even though it's way past breakfast hours.
Dawn: oatmeal cubes??????
After a bit, both of them got to the bus station and patiently waited for the bus to come, ready to start their day at the mall.
