[COMIC] Locked Together

Summary:

Cora and Law end up locked together in seastone cuffs with no key to be found. Through a mixture of luck and finesse, they're able to weather their predicament, but it may have long-term consequences for their relationship.

This is my gift for Mio for the Coralaw Server Winter Exchange!

The prompt I picked: "For some reason, Law and Cora end up chained together with seastone cuffs, and nobody can figure out how to get them off. That means they’re forced to spend every single second of the day together. Sleeping, eating, even showering. Slowly the closeness becomes unbearable. Bonus points if it’s Law who breaks down first, in tears, and admits his feelings."

Panel 1: Back view of Cora sitting on his desk in his cabin in the Polar Tang working on something - it's unclear what. He's hung up photos of Law and the crew as well as a copy of Law's wanted poster. Panel 2: Front view of Cora trying to open a single seastone cuff fastened around his wrist using a bobby pin. Panels 3-5: Closeup of Cora's face as he tries to open the cuff - the bobby pin snaps - Cora makes a frustrated face.

Panel 1: Cora puts a frustrated hand to his forehead, then heads for the door, shoulders slumped. Cora looks away, whistling nonchalantly with a slight blush.Panel 2: Law stares at Cora's scarred abs as Cora attempts to struggle into a night shirt.Panel 3: Law and Cora lie side by side in bed facing one another. Cora sleeps while Law gazes at Cora with a tender look.

They argue about what to do. Walking backwards toward the door behind him, Cora suggests they try using a paperclip or a safety pin. By contrast, Law suggests smashing the cuffs with a hammer or cutting their hands off with a sword. Law seems increasingly desperate to get out of this predicament. Bepo bends down beside a cabinet in search of the key.Panel 3: View from under the cabinet reveals the key. Bepo's paw and knee are visible in the hallway as Law walks by.Panel 4: Bepo's face comes into view. He's delighted to finally have found the key.
