Summary
A short missing-moment from David Hollander’s POV, exploring his reaction after accidentally seeing Shane and Ilya kissing on the porch of the cottage and his conversation with Yuna.
------------------------------------
He forgot his shoes. In his panic he forgot his damned shoes.
In the briefest moment David Hollander considered turning around and going back inside, he heard a muffled “Dad?” coming from the house, and it was enough to cause him to nearly trip over his feet.
Doubling down his effort, he continued to hurry toward the car, bits of gravel digging into the soles of his feet.
All they’d needed were dishwasher tablets. But here he was, speeding down the lane without the tablets or his shoes, which he’d completely forgotten in his flight from his son’s home.
In fact, the only thing he was leaving with was confirmation that his son was gay.
Gay and potentially with . . . dating . . . seeing . . . something with Ilya Rozanoz?
