“Kuni. Did you murder him?”
Mona shivered as Kuni dragged his nail down her cheek—not hard enough to break the skin, but a reminder that he could with little effort if he desired it. His eyes cut into hers with the intensity of a predator's, drinking in her every reaction. Mona wondered whether he could feel the heat of her breath on his lips, the thud of her pulse in her throat beneath his fingers.
“If I did,” he whispered, his voice low and velvety enough to tickle her ears. “What would you do?”
