"Greetings, per your request I have sent you the newest reports in your area regarding vampire activity. All of the sightings have been around the big casino in Chicago that just recently opened up. There have been several noise reports on screams, as well as missing people reports that were last seen at the buliding."

A black SUV was driving down the road when it hit a pothole, shaking the passenger from his thoughts. He had black hair and eyes, and wore a simple black suit and vest with silver accessories. In the startle, he had reached for the wooden stake hidden under his vest, it was an old habit from over a century ago.

Once upon a time, he had been associated with a group of vampires, even becoming one himself for a moment just to turn back human. However some of the vampire traits still lasted, giving him a longer lifespan. Now, he strove to hunt down the evil vampires and bring peace to the world. He worked with some of his old friends and started a mission group. Together, they work to eliminate the rouge vampires who only sought to cause harm and chaos to humans and their homes.

The car made a turn into a small courtyard, pulling to the curb in front of the stairs leading to a large building that had high arched windows and beams.

"We're here Mr. Abolish. When would you prefer I come back to pick you up?" the driver of the SUV asked.

"No need to return, I will leave sometime late tonight. I need to… discuss somethings with a friend," replied Abolish. He straightened his tie as the driver walked around to open the door. Abolish stepped out, grabbed a small briefcase and walked to the doors of the building.

As Abolish approaced the front doors, a man in a dark suit and sunglasses stepped forward, blocking Abolish's path.

"ID please, there's been a lot of suspicious activity around here lately. We now have a strict security team to… prevent unwanted guests," the guard said. Under his tough demeanor, Abolish could tell the guard was tired of the new policy and done with the extra efforts.

"Of course. Here you are," responded Abolish as he pulled a card out of his jacket pocket and handed it over. It was forged by a close friend, but perfect under any inspections. People started to ask questions when they saw you were born in the early 1800s. The guard took the ID, verified it, and let Abolish through without any further issues.

Inside was loud, with music and the sound of poker chips from all over. People were dressed in suits and sparkling gowns that flickered the lights across the room. And then there was the bars, each filled with a dozen people at least, all smelling of alcohols and sugar.

Abolish made his way to one of the back rooms, his eyes scanning the faces of every person. Finally, he spotted a group of people at one of the far poker tables that had just finished a game. He took a deep breath and made his way over.

The tallest of the three had soft blue hair and a long velvet coat that had a standing collar. To his right sat a figure with white hair that had a pinkish hue to it. She had on an elegant gown that was a shimmering red on top that faded into black along the bottom. On the man's left was another person. She had brown hair and a monocle. She wore a brown blazer with matching pants over a deep red shirt. Golden jewelry adorned both of them.

"Ahh! Hello Abolish, its so good to see you again! What is this occasion that we've had the pleasure to meet you again?" asked the man in the middle. "Come, sit and play a game with us. We've just started the fun."

"Hello Scott, Shelby, Drift. It's good to see you yes, but unfortunately I am here on business." Abolish set his briefcase on the table and pulled out a few photos. "I was wondering if any of you have seen these faces before. There has been sightings of them in this area recently."

Scott leaned forward to look better at the pictures then picked his glass up and swirled its contents around a few times in thought. "No, I haven't, and I can say the same for Shelby and Drift as we all stick together most of the time. Sorry to be of no use."

Shelby picked up one of the pictures and nodded in agreement, then whispered so only the 4 of them could hear, "Is this about your, work? The stuff about the.. other vampires?" She was nervous for sure, the three had lived peacefully since what happened long ago in Oakhurst. They were some of the only peacefully living vampires still alive, and they worked hard to keep it that way.

"Yes, it's highly expected that another attack will happen soon, and I am trying to prevent that from happening," Abolish responded. He clenched his fist and studied the room again, he wasn't going to lose any more friends to those evil creatures.

Suddenly, one of the people along the wall that Abolish had seen staring at him with wide eyes and an angry expression made a loud shout. His fingers sharpened to claws and he barred his teeth and started running towards Abolish and his friends.

"YOU! It's you— you killed my brother!" The vampire lunged at Abolish with an out reached hand to claw at his face. Abolish grabbed one of the wine glasses from the table and threw it at his face as he moved out of reach.

In the next few moments, chaos erupted. People started screaming and leaving the building. Scott took Shelby and Drift by the hands to pull them out but the rogue vampire blocked them.

"He took everything from me, so I will take everything from him!" The vampire yelled as he ran for Scott next.

Scott lashed out himself with claws, scratching the vampire's face. He screamed in fury and pain and darted forward to attack again, but Abolish was there faster and threw a punch at his face, knocking him back against one of the tables sending poker chips flying.

The evil vampire got back up quickly and grabbed one of the fallen chairs and threw it at Abolish. He managed to pull his arms up but the chair crashed into him and sent him backwards. Now, Drift attacked this time and landed a side kick in the vampires gut. He gasped sharply and fell to the ground. Abolish used the opportunity and pulled the wooden stake from his jacket and stabbed him in the heart, ending the vampires life.

"Well, I guess those photos don't matter much anymore." Scott snickered as he wiped the blood from his hands.

Abolish fell to his knees and shook his head. "No, not anymore"
