Eddie blinked, staring at the wood grain of the bar without seeing it, his eyes gritty and exhausted. What a night. What a fucking night. Why could things never go smoothly around here? Maybe this place wasn't even worth keeping open.
His fingers were curled around his glass, but he wasn't drinking. Wasn't sure he had the energy to even lift it, he was just so – so – so drained.
Cam had only shown up to trash talk everyone's performances, Sinclaire's comedy act had been a wash out – and they'd taken a chance on Bev, letting her tend the bar to advertise her own place, but the idiotic woman was passed out on the floor behind it.

“He frowned, humming in quiet disapproval as he tugged at and adjusted his suit. Not that it needed to be adjusted, of course– he had shelled out all the gold necessary to ensure it was tailored to him perfectly. He had an image to uphold, after all.
