I Lost You In Hell

Summary:

We all know the ninja of Ninjago already, but what would happen if they died? This is a fanmade story crossing the fandoms of both Ninjago and Hazbin Hotel! I hope you enjoy!

Notes:

First off some heavy topics are mentioned in this book so js a warning. (Also verrrrry slight swear mention)
And btw all of these chapters except for the epilogue are written in Kai's perspective :)

Chapter Text

A sharp memory peeks into my head, the thorns poking me and now I’ve lost control. I've lost most of the only family I've got. Why me? Why and how am I not dead yet but my best friends are? I wish I could put the burning memories out, but all I can do is create more heat. I peek down at my lap. A red rose with sharp, needle - like thorns lie there, sitting alone and sick. "I'm so sorry" I whisper, a tear dripping down my soft, coffee tan cheek.

"Hey, you ok?”
I gasp and twist. Standing there is my sister in law, Lydia. She's got a crumpled newspaper in he arms. I read the title, "Ninjago's 1933 movie star Katrina Garmadon, passed away from an unexpected drug overdose." Lydia sits down next to me.

"I know you miss her Kai, we all do. Even that abusive producer of hers." She tries to comfort me. It won't work.
"That little shit?" I growl. "He's the whole reason of her death. I hate him so much" More and more tears drip down my face, onto that rose.

Hate. That's all I could feel right now. I lost my wife, my sister, my best friends, and even my sensei, who practically was my father at this point. Although, I'm grateful that Lydia hasn't left me yet, it feels a lot better not being so completely alone, though I am most the times. We're basically like each others therapists, but we both have similar stories. She lost her boyfriend, I lost my wife. We understand each other but talking and letting our sob stories out just feels right. If I lose lydie too, I would probably not survive the next few days, maybe hours.

"Those cuts, they aren't healing?" Lydia interrupts my thinking. "You know I'm here to listen if you want to talk." But she's wrong, I can't talk to her. She's been trying to get the suicidal thoughts out of my head but now that I've lost Katie, I can't help it. Everyone thinks I'm some one crazy ninja who has an ego bigger than the overlord, but no. Truth is, I hate myself, and Katie was the only one keeping me alive. I'm sick now, not literally. Mentally.

"I miss her."
"I know, me too"
We both look below the roof of the building we were sitting on. I hope you're doing well katie.
