Summary
The World being empty and silent is frightening.
But some may argue that the groans of the dead are worse. With grotesque imitations of humans wandering the streets.
But even with the stereotypical Zombie. These are different. Real. Not fictional.
The start is worse. A bite is easily hidden. Even with no brain function except meat muscle memory kicks in and they walk. They look normal they walk but slowly.. they decay their body shutting down and slowly they smell and make pained noises at the pain even as they walk nerves damaging until they stop.
Becoming corpses that scream until their vocal cords decay.
Leaving the world in silence as everyone dies. No animal is an exception. A bunny hopping towards you? A freshly turned. Fur slowly falling out as pained cries echo from their body.
They will go away some day. But the world can only be turned so fast. One day if some survive they can live anew. But until then the ground and skies are covered in rotting beings.
With Wemmbu one of the few still standing on the middle of it all.
