Summary:

Thee's day starts with a full-blown brain malfunction when Peach uses a pet name for him and its all downhill from there. Or uphill, I guess.

Work Text:

Thee sat twisting the single lock of his hair that always swooped across his forehead, his mind far away from the office he currently resided in. It was just last night that Peach had finally told Plub about their relationship and he couldn’t stop himself from picturing the myriads of scenarios that could have taken place...

Peach stood, coffee mug shaking in his hand, leaning against the table to help stabilise himself.

‘Lookplub, I need to tell you something,’ A slight quiver could be heard in his voice as he spoke.

‘What?’ Plub’s head whipped around to face Peach, her eyes cold and harsh.

‘Uhhh- I, umm, you know the guy I told you about, well... It’s Khun Thee.’

The atmosphere in the room chilled and Peach began to retreat and brace himself for the reaction his sister was about to have.

No!! He refused to imagine Peach’s sister so cruelly! There was no chance that she could be related to his beloved Peach and react in such a manner. Surely, she had taken it positively.

Peach carefully took a seat on the couch and handed a mug of freshly brewed coffee to his sister, trying and failing to hide his shaking hands. Noticing this, Plub grasped them and turned to look into Peach’s eyes, concern flooding her expression.

‘What’s wrong?’ Peach paused before responding, taking a slow breath.

‘So, the man that I told you about…’

‘Yeah?’ Plub prompted gently.

‘Well, the man that I like, it’s Khun Thee.’

It took a few seconds before the information completely registered with Plub, but when it did the worry on her face was replaced with elation as she pulled her brother into a tight embrace.
‘Why didn’t you tell me earlier that your boyfriend is so rich, and so handsome, and so generous, and so kind, an-'

‘Boss!!!’

Mok was practically shouting by the time Thee was ripped from his daydreaming.

‘Ms. Plub is waiting to see you, Sir.’

Oh, that was right, he had requested to speak with her to inquire about how she felt about the situation.

‘Ok, tell her to come in.’

As Plub entered the office her eyes darted around, wringing her hands in what Thee could only assume was anxiety.

‘What is it you wanted to talk to me about, Boss?’

Slowly Thee rose from his chair and stepped towards Plub, adjusting his Jacket as he did so.

‘I simply wanted to ask if there was anything that I am able to do to make your time at our company more comfortable, sister-in-law?’

The air in the room seemed to stand still as Thee watched Plub’s expression shift from confusion to shock.

‘Sorry, What?’

‘Anything you need, we can organise for you. Your own office at the company, a house closer to the company, your own private driver, a n-’

‘Stop!’ That exasperated tone was one he recognised and had heard many a time from Peach, it was the tone that meant ‘There you go again, throwing your money at a non-existent problem.’

‘First, please don’t call me ‘sister-in-law’, you’ve only been dating my brother for like 5 minutes. Second, I don’t need any of those things so you can stop flaunting your wealth around.’ Her words were sharp, but he swore he could detect a hint of endearment.

‘Sorry.’ He muttered, trying in vain to hide the smile that was creeping across his lips. However, that disappeared as Plub rounded on him pointing her finger at him with an aggression that took Thee completely off guard.

‘I don’t know what you want from my brother, or how you feel, but he really really likes you,’ she seemed to falter suddenly, taking a step back and lowering her hand, ‘So, please don’t break his heart.’ She finished, her voice fading away as she said the last few words.

If only she knew how much he cared. If only he could express to her the fact that his heart beat Peach’s name, the way the image of Peach appeared before him every night he closed his eyes to sleep, how he felt his ears flush a deep crimson anytime Peach was close to him.

Cautiously, he placed a hand on Plub’s shoulder, unsure of how to reassure her.

‘If you were to rip my heart out right here, your brother’s name would be written on the surface.’

So maybe that didn’t come out quite how he meant it to, but he hoped that it would show her just how serious he was.

When there was a knock on the door, he jumped slightly before clearing his throat sheepishly.

‘Enter.’

The door opened as Thee’s breath caught in his throat as Peach stepped into the room. He was wearing a loose shirt that was pale coral and became slightly see through in the light coming through the windows revealing a softly muscular figure. His sleeves were rolled up to the elbows showing his slender forearms and his delicate tattoo. He had tucked this shirt into a pair of simple blue jeans that highlighted his waist and long legs.

Before a full thought had formed in Thee’s brain he had rushed over to Peach, removed his own jacket and wrapped it around Peach’s shoulders.

‘What are you doing?’ Peach said with a low chuckle shrugging off the grey blazer that had been placed on him.

‘You can’t just walk around all day dressed like that!’ Thee as good as shouted at Peach.

‘Dressed like what?’ Peach’s response was incredulous but not mocking. Thee could feel his cheeks flushing pink as he maintained eye contact with the man.

‘You will distract everyone…’ Thee whispered so quietly that Peach was forced to lean closer to him to hear.

‘I think it’s just you who’s distracted.’

‘Okay!’ Plub’s voice came from behind the two of them, ‘On that note, I need to get back to my work.’ And with that she made her swift exit from the office although Thee swore he could see her smiling as she walked off. He turned back to look at Peach who had now moved back and gone to look out the windows.

‘Did you need something?’ Thee inquired.

‘I just wanted to know if you are free this evening.’ Peach was now watching Thee intently with a glint in his eye that Thee couldn’t quite place.

‘Of course, I can always make time for you.’

‘Great.’ Peach walked forward, quickly kissed Thee’s cheek and left the room. But just before closing the door, he paused and called back to Thee.

‘See you later, darling.’

Thee felt like his heart and mind had stopped all at once.

‘Darling’, that’s what he had called him. ‘Darling’. The word rang in his ears, bouncing off the walls of his brain. On top of that, his cheek where Peach had kissed him was still burning from the touch. It was a combination strong enough to make him feel like he was floating, like gravity was no longer holding him to the earth and he could just fly away into space.

By lunchtime Thee was just about recovered from Peach’s actions that morning so he decided to venture downstairs to see how the photoshoot was going.

As he descended the stairs into the studio, he saw the usual crew wandering around fixing and adjusting little things here and there as Peach moved around with his camera, all his focus on getting the perfect angle.

He allowed himself to just observe Peach in his element for a moment. Although it didn’t take long before someone ran up to him stuttering a stream of welcomes and apologies and one by one the rest of the people in the room turned around to look at him.

‘Hello everyone, please, continue with what you were doing.’

This, however, didn’t seem to be particularly effective as everyone now appeared to have forgotten how to do basic tasks. Luckily, it seemed like peach noticed this and told everyone to take a 10-minute break.

It was only then that Thee realised that Peach still had his blazer, only now it was hanging lazily off one of his shoulders. The way it swayed gently as Peach ambled about, still modifying details of the set despite calling a break, was mesmerising.

‘I though you said you were taking a break.’ Thee slipped an arm around Peach’s waist as he spoke.

‘I will in a second,’ Peach said through gritted teeth as he shoved Thee’s arm away, ‘I just needed to fix something.’

‘Fix? But whatever you do, it’s always beautiful, Lookpeach.’

The glare that Peach gave him could have melted a hole straight through him and he grabbed Thee’s wrist and pulled him towards a side room.

Where they now were, was a small dressing room. Judging by the lack of any kind of personal belongings, Thee assumed no one was using it that day.

‘What do you think your doing?’ Peach’s tone was curt and made Thee shrink back slightly, feeling the cold concrete of the wall against his back.

‘I don’t understand.’

‘This!’ Peach mimicked Thee’s earlier actions, briefly snaking his arm around Thee’s waist. ‘Whatever you’re trying to do, flirt, or whatever. You can’t do it while I’m working!’

‘You were taking a break though.’ He said under his breath, though based on the eye roll Peach gave him, it was still loud enough to be heard.

‘Seriously, you can’t. Just because we are together now, doesn’t mean I want the whole company to know, and it could genuinely affect future jobs for me.’

Thee, at this point, was staring at the floor like a dejected puppy, the guilt of upsetting Peach spreading through his mind.

‘I’m sorry, I didn’t think about that.’

‘Hey, it’s alright, I know, just don’t do that kind of thing again, please.’ Peach gently lifted Thee’s chin as he spoke.

For a moment they just stood, looking at each other, allowing themselves to just exist in their own world. Peach had shifted his hand, so it was resting at the side of Thee’s neck and was tracing his jawline with his thumb. Without warning he pulled Thee into a kiss.

Thee gladly reciprocated the action and lifted his hands up to tangle them into Peach’s hair. He felt like he might just melt into a blushing puddle when Peach deepened their kiss and wrapped his arm around his waist causing Thee to be pushed firmly against the wall.

‘Peach! Peach, where did you go?’ They heard a muffled voice coming from somewhere in the studio.

The two men parted, both slightly out of breath, and stared in slight horror.

‘I should get back to the shoot.’ When Peach spoke, it snapped Thee out of the daze he had been in.

‘Oh, of course. I just wanted to ask, why did you need to know if I was free this evening?’

Peach let out a mischievous laugh and patted Thee on the shoulder.

‘It’s a surprise.’ And with that, he walked out of the room.

Thee waited a bit longer before leaving the room just listening to the interaction that followed.

‘Oh, Peach, we are ready to start again.’

‘Ok, I’ll grab my camera.’

‘Are you alright? Is it too hot in here? You look very flushed.’ At this, Peach started coughing and spluttering.

‘No, no, I’m alright. Let’s get back to work.’

After he was confident that everyone had returned to focusing on the photoshoot, Thee left the dressing room quietly and made his way back towards his office. He didn’t know what kind of surprise Peach might be planning but he knew that it didn’t really matter because whatever it was, it was with peach, so he would love it.

Notes:

I am obsessed with this show and this fic is purely self-indulgent. I just wanted to write some mindless fluff before the next episodes come out and I will inevitably end up crying at it.
