   Derry is the kind of town that never forgets. It sits there in Maine, small and quiet, with its crooked streets and fairgrounds that smell faintly of rust and popcorn. People disappear here, sometimes for good, sometimes for long enough that it doesn’t matter. The town remembers them all.

   Bee has never been scared. Not really. Not of the dark, not of the clowns, not even of the things that crawl through the sewers at night. Especially not with all the medication shoved down her throat.
