1 Thing You Should Know Before Becoming an Iwol Solo Stan — blog by poutyiwol610
— Iwol does not allow solo stans.
I'm a baby sparkler who entered the fandom through Iwol's drama, ‘In My Office’.
First, I fell for his amazing face. I couldn't stop thinking how an office employee could have that kind of visual card, yet at the same time, Iwol's acting was so good he naturally felt like an office employee—even though you know it's impossible for an office employee to have that kind of face. Second, his character, Do Younghwan, was so lovable and iconic. When I watched the behind-the-scenes video on MeTube, I fell even deeper for Iwol after knowing many of his banters with Seon Guan were adlibs he made.
And then I learned that he is a member of the rookie boy group spArk. I'm someone who had never liked a kpop group and only casually listened to kpop, so I was thinking, “ah, I'll just keep up with news about Iwol,” and followed a few Iwol fansite accounts, hoping to see him since I still had no interest on spArk back then.
But I was foolish. I didn't know Kim Iwol very well back then. I only knew he was handsome, tall, and a good actor.
I didn't know that keeping up on news about Iwol is basically keeping up with the entire spArk.
Here are my points, supported by evidences:
1) fancafe posts
While he regularly and frequently posts and replies to fans in the fancafe, his topics are 30% about what he's doing and 70% about spArk members. While I learned that he did vocal training on that day, I also learned from his fancafe messages that Jeho wore mismatched socks for their practice and Cheonghyeon played tennis with Kiyeon in the practice room.
2) selcas
Kim Iwol is so active in the fancafe that you wouldn't realize that he hasn't posted a selca for the entire month. If it wasn't for fan accounts compiling his monthly selcas posted in their social media, I wouldn't even realize. On the other hand, I easily memorize the faces of spArk members because he kept posting their photos in the fancafe. While his frequent posting helped, I admit I easily memorized their faces because of their amazing, distinct visuals. spArk is kind of like that… a face you can't forget once you see it.
I owe it to the other members who always take photos with Iwol and take photos of him. If it weren't for you, the Iwol stans would have starved to death.
3) solo lives
His solo lives are quite rare, but even when he does them, he often talks about the members. It was during one of his lives that Iwol hit me with the truth. If I were to like one member, it's inevitable for me to like them all.

🐈⬛️: i'm not overworking! sparklers, i'm sorry for worrying you too much. i'll try not to worry you often. and for your first question, i am enjoying it a lot. for me, being spArk's producing member is a very fulfilling role. all of our members are talented in anything they do, and they're hardworking kids as well. when i see them performing well on stages or concepts i contributed to, i feel even more motivated to do better as a producing member. i want to make more stages where each member of spArk completely shows their skills and charms.
4) self produced contents & variety shows
As the eldest member, Iwol is very caring and overprotective of the younger members (with the exception of Choi Jeho sometimes). This is mostly shown in their self produced contents. You'll always see Iwol doting on them, feeding them, taking care of them. He's very close to the younger kids that it's just so adorable to see.
In summary, if you think you're an Iwol solo stan, you'll change your mind immediately as you get to know Iwol. Iwol loves his members very much. He takes good care of them, talks a lot about them, and makes sure that they are all loved by sparklers.
When you love Iwol, you also start to love spArk through him. It's impossible not to love spArk when you see how Iwol loves them. Although his magnitude is greater, the way I love spArk is similar to Iwol's way because I've learned it from him.
I've accepted my defeat and started going through all of spArk's contents. I've fallen for the spArk rabbit hole. Thank you, Iwol. I love you the most, along with spArk.
To Iwol solo stans, it's impossible. Just give it up. Iwol will be happier if you like all of spArk. You'll also be happier when you get to know all of the members.
