Summary
From the day Boris and Theo met, they quickly grew inseparable. A small, scared 14 year-old from New York City - all cableknit sweaters and Oxfords, completely out of place in the desert - secretly hiding a multi-million dollar stolen painting in honour of his dead mother. A homeless-looking 15 year-old burnout boy with a shitty father and bruises to prove it, and an affinity for bad habits - drugs, alcohol, crime, you name it. An odd pair, no doubt. Through petty bickerings turned violent arguments and buzzed evenings spent laying out in the sand, they shared more with each other than they might know about themselves. Or that they'd remember come morning. But their friendship - if you could even call it that - was slowly turning to something more. Something angry and needy and unspoken.
