Robert’s eyes creaked open — they felt sore, bleary and gritty like he’d been woken in the midst of a nap. His head ached, too, in the same nap-flavoured dreamlike barely-aware way. But that couldn’t be right. He’d been working, hadn’t he? He’d been dispatched on a mission. Something Waterboy had done.
