Summary
In an alternate universe, Trackstar wasn't fast enough.
Rober Robertson III, also known as the super villain Machina, swore to end the life of his father's murderer and the one who turned him into a cyborg, Elliot Connors, one of LA's best-known heroes and founder of the Red Ring hero company.
When he ends up captured and cut off from his powers, he is given a choice, become the dispatcher of a group of incompetent heroes and transform them into the new faces of the Red Ring, or go to prison for the rest of his life. Robert is forced to become a a good guy as he plots with other villains captured by Connors their escape and domination of LA.
But the more time goes on and the more he gets to know his team, the more he doubts his true feelings about what to do with his life, his father, and Elliot. Robert will have to decide whether to live long enough to become a hero, or sink into the shadows as a villain.
