Is that my shirt?

Summary:

“This is my shirt, I don’t know why your shirts keep vanishing” Ein teases, his tone calm as though he were simply talking about the weather.

Pierce stares pointedly at the white lettering on the obviously oversized shirt, raising an eyebrow at the very shirt Ein himself claimed was a bit ridiculous for just saying ‘YES’ on the front.

or; Ein steals Pierce's shirt so he decides it's only fair to steal one of Ein's

Work Text:

“Ein..” Pierce says, his tone filled with fond amusement at the sight before him, “Is that my shirt?”

The wolf pauses midway through pouring cereal into the bowl on the counter, staring at Pierce like a teenager caught doing something they shouldn’t. He straightens slightly, huffing out a small sound of mock offence.

Noo..” Ein replies, drawing out the word and batting his lashes like it made him appear innocent. “Why would I take one of your shirts when I have plenty of my own?”

Pierce sighs fondly, pinching the bridge of his nose to play up his false annoyance, pretending he doesn’t notice Ein’s lips twitching up into a small smile. “I was wondering where my shirts keep disappearing to..” He comments, watching Ein’s smile become slightly smug.

“So that’s how this is gonna go?” Pierce asks, his amusement growing as Ein’s eyes narrow in suspicion.

“What does that mean-” Ein starts before Pierce cuts him off

“Well, if you’re going to randomly ‘find new clothes’ I figure it’s only fair if I do too” Pierce sing songs, as he makes a beeline for the stairs.

He smiles to himself as he hears the familiar sound of padding footsteps as Ein follows him upstairs.

Pierce walks right over to Ein’s room and turns straight to the closet, careful not to grab one of his own shirts as he pulls one of Ein’s slightly oversized shirts from the closet, carefully taking it off the hanger before returning the hanger to the closet.

He pointedly ignores Ein standing in the doorway as he switches shirts before turning and making direct eye contact with the wolf.

“You’re really pretty in that shade of blue you know?” Ein says, a familiar glint in his eyes.

“This was your plan the whole time wasn’t it” Pierce asks, already knowing the answer at Ein’s triumphant smirk. Pierce rolls his eyes fondly, “You’re so possessive” he teases.

“Never denied it love,” Ein replies.
