I go whenever things are feeling a little too much.” his gaze wanders a little, focusing on the trees right behind Katsuki. “Whenever I go, I think about you, and mom, and all the perfect memories we made back then, but...” his gaze snaps back to Katsuki’s. “Its not quite the same. He watches as Katsuki swallows, lost for words for a moment. His hand drops from where it was still tilting Izuku's face up. “Good.” he lands on eventually, his eyes searching Izukus. “Then you have a reason to keep coming back."
Izuku's heart flutters at that; his smile grows softer. Eyes dropping to look at their interlaced fingers, Izuku hesitates for a moment. “I didn’t need another reason,” he murmurs, twisting their hands to get a better look at Katsuki’s tanned skin. “I just needed a reminder.”
