Summary
On the edge of graduation, focus was essential. Focus was good. Focus reduced social interaction and therefore distractions. It reduced the chance of failing. Lingling Sirilak Kwong liked all aspects of focus. The nonverbal communication. The tedious days and nights filled with notes, diagrams, and post-it notes.
What she didn't like were sunburns, chlorine, and time wasted on pointless moments of connection with the same friends who forced her to leave her immaculate, air-conditioned apartment.
