Chapter Text
Have I been here before? Where am I? This feels all too familiar…
This was all I could think of as I observed my surroundings. My knees were tucked to my chest, my back touching a cold and moist wall. I could hear a low humming radiating from my body. I look down at my hands, only to see that they are artificial. I tremble as I jolt to my feet, memories trickling into my mind.
Battle. A bloody battle. A shape I am unable to recognize. I try to hone in on the spectacle, but it quickly dissipates. As I begin to wander the surrounding area, I feel a warm hand on my shoulder that pulls me backwards.
“Hey, you there! Where do you think you’re going-?”
The source of the deep voice dragged me by my blue cloak in the opposite direction- a direction I hadn’t bothered to check. After I turn around, I notice a man of tall stature and heavy armor, alongside two more feminine figures. One had a mask made of an animal skull, the other with her hair in a bun and eyes closed. My eyes focused on them one at a time, taking in every delicate and organic shape that made up their fleshy bodies.
In the middle of observing the three, I was quickly snapped out of my trance by the heavily armored man. He did this by pointing at me and snapping in my face.
“You! Answer me! Who are you?”
I blink, taking a few moments to find the right words to say.
“I am… uhm…”
My mind scanned for a name, or any sort of clue of who I might be, only to be greeted with silence.
“I don’t know.”
The man huffed, scratching the back of his neck. You couldn’t see his face, but it was clear he was disappointed.
“Great. Just wonderful! This guy doesn’t know either.”
The other two mumbled something that I couldn’t quite pick up on... I decided to ignore it. The skull-wearing girl decided to speak up next.
“Hey- who are you to judge?? It’s not like you remember.”
After an awkwardly silent moment, the last of us began to speak.
“Silence your bickering. It is worth nothing. I think it is wise to focus on the dilemma at hand- not our identities, but our surroundings.”
As soon as she mentioned that, she walked slowly towards a closed door. She felt around it, seemingly at a random rate, but alas! She managed to get it open.
The rest of us stood in shock. We aren’t sure how, but we decided not to question it. The woman beckoned us to continue, the dimly lit room enticing us.
As soon as we stepped into the room, the door slammed shut behind us. A rack of weapons was propped up on one wall, and a six-eyed whale sat on the opposite side of the room.
“Hello… again…”
