Work Text:
Years inside the cage meant something to the both of them. Michael wanted Adam to enjoy his humanity as much as he can since it was taken from him. Unfortunately, Adam wasn't used to his human body after all that time away from the world. Even if a few years had gone by. He wouldn't be able to handle it on his own.
Adam had showered, changed into new clothes he had bought an hour before, spending time on choosinf the right shirts and jeans as Michael observed.
Adam enjoyed being partially alone, mesmerized by the weather, watching people wander around, eating near a window or even outside at a table.
At least until nightfall came, and Adam had mostly finished up his day so Michael could take over when a group of demons had risen in the area. He had sensed them almost immediately, but didn't want to ruin Adam's day.
Now that their deal about sunlight was over, Michael took the body, summoned his blade, and killed the demon's. He had even brought a few out of the human vessels so the human's could live through the altercation.
By that point, Michael had somewhat ruined Adam's new clothes, and was standing around few dead bodies of demon's.
He was sorry, and promised Adam he can have another day to himself if he wanted. It was just better to keep him safe, and away from the demon's who got too close.
Adam had relented, and was amused by Michael for feeling terrible about the situation.
