Three years before Eren and Levi official got together, Levi was dating a guy named Onyankopon. They were dating for a couple years when he mysteriously went missing. Levi was a mess during that point in his life. He was forced to mourn his partner's death as he knew that he was dead.
Eren and Levi were acquaintances when the couple were dating but after the disappearance, they got closer. Levi would go to Eren when he was missing his partner. Eren would check in to make sure Levi was okay. The brunette was the only person to see the shorter man cry. If Eren was being honest, he was hurt seeing Levi cry but touched as Levi felt safe enough to do so in front of him.
Two years have passed and the now couple just recently moved in together. To celebrate that milestone, they decided to go hiking in the nearby woods. Eren, when looking up the area, heard about a legend. He was a big believer of the supernatural, so Eren immediately thought it to be true. Levi was the opposite but still let Eren ramble on and on about it leading up to the day of the trip.
Legend goes that long ago a woman lived alone in the middle of the woods. She was in love with a man she could have so from behind the scenes kill off anyone who would dare harm him. She ends up killing his betrothed and she was executed. Her spirit now haunted the woods killing anyone who dares end unless they confess their sins.
Eren voiced his nervousness days before the trip. Levi was getting annoyed by it but never snapped at Eren. He would reassure him that everything will be fine. He went as far as getting holy water from the local church and packing a Bible along with a couple crosses.
The day eventually arrives, and the couple pack up for the trip. Once they got there, they started their hike. They stop when the sun starts going down and set up camp. Eren was fine during the day but when the safety of light left, he was jumping at every sound and kept clinging onto Levi.
Part of Levi liked that Eren was holding on to him wanting him to protect him, and another part was getting irritated. He bites his tongue as they set up the tent. Eren took too long as he kept getting scared. Levi ended up taking over and finally their shared tent was up. They started their fire and Levi heated up their dinner as Eren looked around. Hopefully, after surviving the night, Eren will relax for the rest of the trip.
They eat then head into the tent to try and sleep. Eren’s head was resting in Levi’s chest as Levi was on his side. The brunette was shaking and clutching onto his boyfriend’s small body. Of course it starts thundering around them.
Eren whimpers at the sound. “Levi,” Eren calls his voice sounding like he was on the verge of tears. Levi felt his heart break at the sound. He wanted everything to stop so Eren could finally calm down but he couldn’t.
“It’s okay the storm will pass soon,” Levi coos trying to calm Eren down.
The brunette shakes his head, “the storm it’s because of the witch I know it.” After the sentence thunder cracks again, making Eren jump again and tears start to fall.
Levi resists the urge to roll his eyes, but he answers, “No, it’s not. Neither one of us has done anything wrong in life. It’s just a storm. You’ll be okay.” Levi pushes Eren into his chest more, letting his boyfriend cry into it. He brushes his fingers through Eren’s hair, trying to calm him down.
“You’re wrong, Levi. I need to confess something,” Eren said, moving away from Levi to look at him.
Levi furrows his brows at Eren. What has Eren done? Levi knew Eren had anger issues, but he never would do something drastic, right? “Go ahead,” Levi said, urging Eren to continue.
Before, Eren could answer another strike of lighting sounds. “I killed your last boyfriend cut up his body and dumped the pieces in different places!” Eren blurted out quickly. Of course, after this confess the storm let’s up causing Eren to breathe a sigh of relief.
Levi was in shock. It all was starting to make sense. Why he and Eren got so close after Onyankopon disappeared. Eren’s constant glare when Levi would show up with his boyfriend to group hang outs. Why Eren was also nervous to come here. Levi thought it was just his belief in the supernatural.
The taller man’s relief was short lived when Levi called his name. “I’m sorry, Levi,” Eren said, staring at Levi.
Levi pushes Eren’s head back to his chest. He brushes his fingers into the brunette’s long hair before answering, “it’s okay, Eren, no one has to know. This is just between us.”
