    Summary

In his first incarnation on earth, centuries ago, Satoru told a lie. Out of boredom, or maybe just curiosity, he invented a god in a story, never expecting anyone to believe him. But belief spread like wildfire, and the deity he’d imagined became the village’s patron, salvation, and their savior: Sukuna. The strangest part? Every prophecy Satoru spoke in Sukuna’s name came true. And when Satoru died, he was reborn. Again. And again. And again.

Now, he’s just a college sophomore trying to keep his head above water. But there’s something odd about the tall, tattooed classmate who’s attached himself to his side. Sukuna knows too much. He brings Satoru things that he’s sure he never mentioned liking. And when their Theology professor announces the next unit will cover the ancient god Sukuna and his pantheon, his friend and classmate that shares the name goes still, as though remembering something far older than what will be spoken within the classroom walls.

Because Satoru doesn’t remember the god he created, but Sukuna remembers it all.

And across centuries, across lifetimes, Sukuna has never stopped loving his creator.
