Scout sat there, playing with a baseball and chewing some gum, his body and face tensed up for a reason he himself couldn't name “Dumbasses.” He huffed, giving the ball a hard throw, then yelped when it hit his foot “OW-!”
He held his foot, biting his lip to try and stop himself from crying “F-fuuck–” He continued to hold his foot for a minute before letting it go, picking up his ball again, trying to act like that didn't just happen
“Jeremy.”
Scout flinched at his real name being called from behind him, he turned around so quick it hurt his back “Oh, yo baby..heh”
Sniper looked down at him, his nose twitched twice “Ya ‘lright? Looked like that bloody hurt.”
“Oh, naahh..it didn't, don't worry, legs!” He winked at the man “Anyway, whaddya doin’? Bet it's nothin’, huh?”
“Eh..yeah, nothin’ much, bunny.” He sat next to Scout, his arms crossed and hands tight on his forearms “What about ya?”
Scout blinked, then blushed and looked away “I mean-..im doin’ nothin’ as well, heh..”
“Makes two of us.”
Scout fidgeted with the ball in his hands, then looked down to Sniper's hands “I guess.” He pouted
He pinched one of the boy's cheeks “Why ya pouty, bunny?” He grinned
“Pft–..lettme go, dork.” He pushed his hand away, then intertwined their fingers.
“..”
“...”
“Is dis alright?”
“Yeah, it is.”
They both sat there, their hands held together in the middle of them
“Uh, anyway, ya wanna hear about da great stuff I did durin’ da battle? Yeah?” Scout awkwardly tried to come back to real conversation
“Sure, mate.” Sniper leaned back.
Sniper loved his bunny,
Scout loved his kangaroo!
